Booked a 2 night stay for us and our teenage daughters during Feb half term using a Groupon deal so excellent value. Lovely long driveway to hotel so totally away from road and traffic. Grounds and frontage of hotel glorious and steeped in history. Rooms very individual and in keeping with age/design of hotel. Very clean, nice beds and super...

Booked a Spa session for my wife and daughter as a Christmas treat. Plan A was to have lunch and let the girls have their Spa whilst I did some reading etc. Arrived to find the whole place booked out for a very large wedding which excluded us from the dining facility. Parking was very tight but managed to find...

When you walk in we were unsure who to speak to or where to go as there did appear to be a reception desk, so we made our way to the bar. We had booked in advance as there were 6 adults and a child and when we arrived they had not reserved any space for us in Broadwood bar...

We spent 2 nights on a celebration valentine package, including champagne afternoon tea then 7 course diner on Saturday night. We paid 20 each for 3 course evening diner on Friday. The food was lovely, we had partridge and was so tasty, the desserts was equally, breakfast was buffet style. If you appreciate old buildings 1700's and antique furniture with...

Beautiful long driveway to the hotel, building looked very impressive and after a busy few months at work my partner and I were looking forward to a weekend away at a 4 star hotel with an evening meal and a nice soak in the large or roll-top bath in the Mansion Suite that we were led to believe we'd booked....

Very clean and well equipped rooms. Log fires in bar area and restaurant. All staff very friendly and professional. Steam room in Spa does not work very well. The breakfast is awful. Bacon all stuck together and under cooked. For a hotel of this standard I would expect something much better than a buffet breakfast this poor.

On arrival went to reception to ask if we could have afternoon tea. They said yes and took us to the drawing room area off the bar. They said that they would get someone to come over and take our order shortly. 20mins later no one arrived so went back to reception as no one was at the bar to...

We stayed for 3 nights from Christmas Eve onwards. I shall admit that there was some miscommunication errors at the outset, but these were dealt with swiftly and the rest of the stay was not tainted by this and neither was my lasting opinion. Our package included breakfast, dinners and everything in between. We loved it. Not much else to...

My husband booked 2 nights at this venue to coincide with my 73rd birthday. One of the reasons it was chosen was it had a swimming pool, steam room & sauna. Our hotel room was lovely & well appointed, with a 4 poster bed. We had the shower cubicle in the bathroom as requested. Our evening meal on the 1st...

It was that hard that I had to double the duvet over and sleep in top of it. Shower was really rubbish and not at...
