Positives The place is ideally located within 5 minutes walk of the main train station and there is a lovely Japanese restaurant two minutes away. Parking is also available nearby. Staff also were nice enough. Cons The rooms in the surface look clean but are dirty when you look. There was an unpleasant smell in the room, a stain on...

Not a great room for the money. Stained and unironed curtains. Bathroom ceiling stained and rail hanging off. View was just unexceptional rather not have any windows at all. Just not worth the money although the location was ok they are plenty of other hotels nearby. Won't be going back!!

Bed bugs in the bed! Do not stay in the hotel! I spent one night and the next morning I had more than 30 bites around my arms and neck. I contacted the hotel after going to the hospital in order to inform them about their terrible hygienic conditions, they said the called a Pest control to check it however...

There are a lot of good points about this hotel, It is in a very good location, In the centre but away from the usual city noise. The room was very clean and the employees were very helpful and pleasant. The main gripe was listening to private moments from other rooms when in the corridor. It didn't bother me but...

I stayed here for one night just before Christmas and paid £100 for one night. The location of the place is the positive element but other than that this place is not very nice at all. The room was very old, with dirty sheets and curtains. I felt unclean the entire time I stayed there. Breakfast was not included in...

we first visited the hotel when we came for the Xmas market last year. Such an ideally placed hotel as just at the back of New Street station below John Lewis. Very close to all the centre of Birmingham near the tram . Certainly not a 5 star hotel but it doesn't pretend to be such. Very clean and reasonable...

Me and my girlfriend stayed at this hotel overnight while seeing a show next door in the theater, though it was clean and comfortable it could have done with a bit of an update in decor, but not so much so it ruined our stay. Perfectly located to New Street Station and center of town. Definitely recommend for short stays.

The location is great, right behind one of the entrances of New Street Station. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was basic but quite spacious, very clean and comfy with a tv set, a hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities and en-suite toilet/shower/bathtub. I liked especially the shower, powerful and hot. I read the wi-fi was free in the common...

Great location right in front of the New Street station, with plenty of restaurants, theaters, cinemas a stone throw away Even if the wifi is mentioned as free only in public spaces (on most websites), at least on the first floor rooms it works well enough The walls of the rooms are pretty thin so all noises from the corridor...

I am totally aware that most people staying at the Comfort Inn are travelling on a budget. I needed somewhere good value for money for business and so thought would give it a go. Upon arrival the man on the reception was a little curt when I wanted to pay with a card not used for the reservation. This is...
