I was very impressed with the Ibis hotel. Its in a perfect position. Its only a few minutes walk to Birmingham New Street station. The Bullring shopping centre is also about a 10 minute walk away and its right next door the Hippodrome theatre. As for the hotel itself... It looks like it's been recently refurbished. The bed room was...

Had trouble with a full basement car park. The maintenance man came to our rescue and was the friendliest, politest and most helpful man in Birmingham. Shame the young male bar tender was crap, think he didn't like us?

The check in/out was fast and efficient. The location was perfect for our needs and close to town and restaurants. We used the free wifi, the only downsides were the room was excessively hot and we had to sleep with the window wide open all night. Not ideal with noise from the pubs and clubs outside. Also the bathroom was...

Lovely Hotel, immaculately clean, very pleasant and helpful staff. Good choice for breakfast. Bedrooms had everything you needed, shower and toilet area spotless. Handy location, very near New Street Station and Bull Ring shops, we went for German Market, very handy for that.

Tried to check-in at midday but room wasn't ready so stored our bags. Got a phone call at 9:00pm to say there was a problem with our room (basically the hotel had been over booked) - so got taxied to a hotel next to Birmingham airport for the night (30 minutes away) and brought back the following morning!! Totally unacceptable!!...

For £90 a night I expected a lot better... The hotel reception and waiting area is very nice but there's hardly any staff! When we arrived there was one person on the check in desk and they also had to serve people at the bar which just resulted in long queues.. Very unprofessional. We then went up to the rooms...

Ok - so this is a budget hotel and, for the price, the rooms are about what you expect but why oh why do Ibis employ people at the front desk who are clearly not happy or interested in their job? The strange thing is that Ibis hotels in France have always impressed me by getting off to a good...

Stayed here on a Sunday night. Close to shopping, pubs, bars, china town. Ibis rooms are always clean , basic and comfy . Room was warm , bathroom very compact but clean. Would definitely return. Plenty of car parking in area.

Stayed here Friday night. Cannot fault the actual hotel, staff or facilities. However it is next door to a nightclub, and we suffered very loud booming music till 5 am. Had very little sleep, ended up getting up and catching the train straight home.
