Stayed here last night. Room adequate and large bed. Problem I found was the room was boiling hot, and the air conditioning was turned off. I had to open the windows to cool down. Couldn't sleep because of traffic noise. When I told reception they said it was on winter setting. Well it was a balmy 17 at least. Let...

It's been a while since I was last here and the renovation works to the lobby/restaurant are fantastic. The works have made a real difference and were long overdue. The rest of the hotel needs work doing to it but in its current form is perfectly adequate but will need updating to tie-in better with the ground floor improvements. The...

Stayed with friends for one night on a shopping and theatre trip. The NCP car park nearby is discounted by the hotel, and when we checked in were offered a discounted breakfast deal - which turned out to be very good value for a comprehensive and very tasty breakfast. Reception happy to keep our bags prior to check in. My...

If you're after a nice clean and friendly hotel to stay at for a night or two in the city centre of Birmingham (and it really is!) then you must consider this Holiday Inn. This was my third stay but the first since it's renovation. Since their renovation the hotel has a completely new fresh, trendy & modern look to...

A lovely big room, generally clean with everything though of. They even included a set of ear plugs as the hotel is right on the main party street. The car park was hard to find as the signage could be better but it is so close to the hotel it was worth this drive around the 1 way system. The...

This is truly one of the worst Holiday Inns I have stayed in for both service and room standard. Firstly the hotel is located near the city centre but in a rundown area. Parking is a grotty NCP car park to the rear (£20 per day) which has stairwells stinking of urine (and on my second day I was greeted...

This is a good location for the city centre - China Town, Bullring, Markets etc. The lobby area is very smart and modern and integrated into the bar area. Staff are excellent. But - despite being told this was a quiet room, the first night was probably the noisiest night in a hotel room I have ever experienced. Whirring and...
