Built in 1704, originally as a wayside inn, the hotel has over the centuries become steeped in history and is recalled by many as being one of the most popular places to stay in Birmingham during the last few decades. The red brick Victorian architecture of the original building together with the large garden, lawns and plentiful car parking serves to set the Plough & Harrow Hotel apart from other Birmingham hotels This 44 bedroom hotel brings a country house style to the city with an elegant lounge bar, a separate "pub" with over 25 gins & cocktails which also shows BT Sports, a restaurant & terrace overlooking the lawn. HI yes you can walk to the arena from the hotel, it takes about thirty minutes... or there is a good bus service, bus stop is just down on the left hand side from the hotel.

Hi is there a bus service from the main train station to the hotel? If so what number bus is it. Would it be easier/cheaper to get a taxi ?

There are quite a few buses that go that way to Five Ways and along Hagley Road, don't know the numbers but there is a West Midlands travel route planner which will guide you.
