I used the spa on our stay and it was filthy. There were bits of debris in the pool that poked my feet, the water was cloudy and left me with an itch on my body. Men were shaving in the steam room in front of me without any regard, men were showering naked for all to see in the... More

I must say I don't recognize the Spa and club you describe as here. I have checked the cleaning schedules myself and they have been cleaned daily - and I personally inspect the club 7 days a week at different times of day and never found this to be the case. We have once found someone shaving in the steam... More

The front entrance is a little dated, but once inside reception is modern and efficient. Our room was spacious with excellent sound proofing Glazing and blackout windows. The bed was comfortable and we had a good nights sleep. The bathroom needs a thermostatic shower and shaving mirror to ring it up to date. The bar service was excellent and at... More

We stayed here having dropped our daughter off at University. It is ideally located a matter of minutes away once we had mastered the access. Room 108 was enormous with a huge and very comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. The room was also spotless! Definitely worth a return visit Much more comfortable than a Travel lodge or P

Thanks for your review I am glad your visit to the University was a success - we are the best located hotel for visiting the university - but crucially location isn't everything and we need to get our service right. Solid 4 star hotel , rooms spacious and clean, restaurant good quality and reasonable price. Saturday had a function running which took over the bar area as well we could hear the music on the third floor but this did not impact on our stay , would recommend for the price we paid ( 65 per night ) plus quid... Overnight visit using my frequent traveller points. Customer facing Staff super friendly and helpful, breakfast really great, parking usefully convenient if expensive. Got upgraded to an executive "suite". The room worked (heating and cooling was good) , and the bed was the usual Marriott super comfortable, but: ageing vinyl clad single armchair, garish carpets, mould on bath surround, chipped enamel... Following your review - I have visited the room and a team of engineers have been in it to ensure the room is fixed up. The towel rails are on a timer, but not left on all the time, otherwise we find the bathrooms get too hot. Kind Regards, Gordon Tyler - General Manager More

Thanks for your review. I am glad you enjoyed the rooms, breakfast and dinner at the hotel and found the time to make use of our beautiful leisure facilities.
