This little inn hidden in the Selly Park is recommendable to all who attend to a conference or any other event at the University of Birmingham. Just a few minutes walk brings you on the red brick campus. Rooms are little with old fashioned furniture but comfortable beds. The full breakfast served is worth the money.

Only positive is it is a walk away from the University and restaurants. Terrible B & B.... Old fashioned room door with a yale lock. Unmentionable splash marks on the inside of the toilet/shower room door!!

I think it is a bit unfair that this hotel has such bad reviews. I stayed here on a Saturday night and it was by far one of the cheapest options. It is easy to say 'you get what you pay for' but the fact is, if you want a Jury's Inn experience, then you must pay for it. Despite...

Owners very distance just took the card for payment give us the room key and never seen him again. Thought we may have shown us around the house or meal times, we got up to see if breakfast may be available no personal around. A note on the wall of hall way saying leave keys on the side and close...

The Awentsbury was pretty cheap and did the job for me. I was staying in town for one night to visit some friends, and needed a bed. I didn't get a particularly comfortable one but my stay wasn't the horror show some other reviewers here evidently had. The wifi worked fine and the staff were perfectly pleasant.

The bedroom was awful, mattress was rotten, couldn't sleep at all. The towels was dirty and breakfast was basic. The staff was not very friendly and would not recommend to go there again. This is old fashioned and need update to modernisation. Shower room was tiny in twin bedroom. I would not recommend for anyone who don't like old fashion...

This is not a genuine review, all our beds have been renewed within the last 3 months.

This was just an overall poor experience. The hotel was locked when we arrived mid afternoon and looked derelict. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable but service very poor. Would never stay here again.

It was okay - some of the reviews are a bit harsh. I wouldn't recommend it for a holiday, but if you need a reasonably cheap place to stay in that part of Birmingham - it's fine. The hotel looks a little tired, although it's a lovely building. My room (a single en suite) was quite small but had everything...

I've stayed in some ropey places in my time and normally I'd just suck it up and get on with it but this one really did cross a line. Well lines really!! I chose this 'hotel'; (it's not it's a B&B and a terrible one at that) because it is very close to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital where I am...

Firstly driving up the hill to get to this hotel gave me great expectation, but welcomed by unsurfaced road, dying plants that looked unkempt & the main door having wood chipped off it made me feel strange about my stay & then walking in made it a little better until i discovered how dusty the Red Carpet the hotel was...
