The room is quiet, cosy. The lights are soft and the bed is amazing, I slept so well! The reception is kind and nice, they are always there to help you. The hotel is well-attended by young people and aged one. It's near the center and it's in the heart of the jewellery quarter. The area is magic, far from...

Excellent for short stay -great location. Had to pay extra for room with a window and though the room is great for one night, facilities inane room ( no comfortable chair, no space for clothes) really not so good. Mixed. Would for short stay again.

We booked as 2 couples in 2 separate rooms. Both room were exactly the same. Basic, immaculately clean, very comfortable. Vending machines for hot and cold drinks and snacks in the hotel foyer, no drinks facilities in room. Close to jewellery and 10 mins walk from town centre. NCP car park 2 mins away- Don't forget to get a ticket...

Great review, thank you. I hope you had a nice time at the Christmas Market.

Price isn't that cheap you don't feel like you're getting value for money for what you get. If you just want to sleep, the bed is great and comfortable. Room is small but manageable. Don't even get a bottle of water in room or a glass but plastic cups!? Vending machines bit rubbish. Staff weren't bothered very nonchalant. No window...

We realise that some people may not like the concept as it's very different to traditional style hotels. It helps when comments are made to mention the room number so when any problems are mentioned it can be looked into. Hopefully, reception was made aware on your departure from the hotel so the shower could be investigated. Thank you for...

I came at 12 PM after the party, nice gentleman let me in, gave me the key to my room and that was it. I don't remember much afterwards, beds were super long and comfy, shower was close, they gave a little nice cube of soap, shampoo and a million clean towels. 100 times better than a hostel, although it...

I always stay at the Bloc when visiting Birmingham, it's clean, the staff are friendly and it has everything you need. The rooms are a little small but very modern and the beds are really comfortable. The location is excellent, it's a 10 minute walk to the City Centre and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. Although there...

Nice hotel with comfy bed.. didn't like the bathroom... no one needs clear doors, no matter how long they've been with their partner! Good location and great parking discount with NCP down the road. Reception staff friendly and knowledgeable. Great price.. not too keen on the lighting, but I'm not a trendy young thing! Really handy having free wifi, which...

Small rooms, no natural light, noise from neighbouring rooms either side and above. I get the concept but it's not great. I am disappointed and really feel that for the money without breakfast it wasn't value for money. Modern and good condition.

BLOC Hotels concept is very different to traditional style hotels and does not appeal to everyone. It sounds like you stayed in a Sleep room where it has no window. We do have Vista rooms for £5 more that have windows. As BLOC Hotel is a room only hotel and does not have any food and beverage facilities, we have...

We found this hotel when looking for somewhere to stay near the Barclaycard Arena and I would definitely use it again. It's a tiny room with just a king-sized bed, a TV and a few coat hooks and then a wet room bathroom. The bed however was really comfortable and the wet room shower was great. There is not a...

We have a lot of people who tend to book BLOC Hotel Birmingham when an event or concert is on at the Barclaycard Arena. The hotels location means its just a short walk from the venue. Many thanks for your review.

Very comfortable room. Central location. Not far from Xmas market. Friendly staff and very clean. Parking at ncp is £5.50 for 24 hours and we had breakfast at all bar one which was around 5 mins walk away. If you're looking for a pub to go to nearby can recommend the queens arms which is only a couple of mins...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bloc hotel is located in Birminghams Jewellery Quarter. The village atmosphere created by its cafes-bars and restaurants is complemented by the business-shopping-arts and sports facilities that are also on its doorstep. We have taken loose inspiration from Japanese pod style hotels which means much larger rooms more akin to a cabin on a luxury yacht with finishes and fittings to match. The rooms are equipped with a King Size Double Bed-luxurious linen-climate control-wet room with monsoon drench shower-Samsung 32inch led flat screen TV and high speed WIFI. Birmingham is of course a centrally located travel hub and for many of our visitors that will be the most important factor in just how quickly and conveniently they can access the motorway network-national rail and international flights. ... more   less
