Same old story with this hotel - lots of big conferences, the main bar can't cope, or rather the staff cannot cope and are inattentive, rude and work at the speed of eroding granite. No hot water in the bathroom between 7:00am and 8:30 am.

Stayed in the hotel for a night as had an appointment early Friday morning in Birmingham. Hotel entrance is nice and spacious and looks very nice. Check in was as expected and the staff were competent and friendly. My room was in a quite zone and was indeed very quite as I didn't hear any disturbances My room was nice...

Came for a teaching conference in January and the hotel was excellent. The room was clean and comfortable with a balcony, and the shower was wonderfully powerful. The food we had was great with lots of healthy varieties on offer. The only downside was that the bar was a total rip off - £16.25 for a pint of cider and...

Great location for conferences. Rooms are little above average. The stuff were kind and helpful. Bar is OK. WIFI is somewhat limited. I would recommend for business trips. If it's family or vacation - I would say it's not suited.

Stayed in a suite here for the first time in a long time; loads of room and love executive lounge access for free nibbles and drinks. Living room in the suite wasn't well lit though and could do with updating. Overall a pleasant stay

A huge party was going on and this ended with youngsters staying up and making a noise into the early hours 4-5am. The bar staff were more interested in what the girls looked like upon arrival for the party than deal with the guests. I only used this hotel as it was close to the airport, I could have booked...

As a gold hhonors member I have been to my fair share of Hilton's, and this is by far one of my favourites! I recently stayed using to hhonors points, and thought it was well spent! Was lucky enough to get upgraded to a executive room and made good use of the pool and executive lounge. All staff I encountered...

Stayed at the Birmingham NEC Hilton Hotel again last weekend for the Auto-sport Car Show, for which it is a great location to be based. I had a really great stay once again at this hotel and I found all the staff to be both friendly and helpful during my visit. I ate early in the evening at the hotels...

Hilton metropole is a very busy place. The reason for our visit was a concert at the Genting Arena which is a seven minute walk from the hotel. The car park was packed but there were a couple of conferences on that weekend and at £12 per night it wasn't a bargain! I think if you've paid £170 for a...
