I was on a business trip and my friend wanted to stay in a haunted hotel lol, we looked on the internet and we found this, really excited we got there, lovely surroundings but the rooms were very dusty, I can not sleep in dusty rooms, when I informed reception they tried to change rooms for me but all rooms...

Booked Sunday lunch for ten people to celebrate my sister's 50th birthday. Food was delicious, service excellent and surroundings really special. Not sure why more people not using this hotel-it has everything you could want for special occasions and our meal was exceptional value. Definitely going back

Stayed here for a friend's wedding, evening was lovely, they served hog roast which was the worst bit of meat I have ever put in my mouth all fat. The hotel needs a serious face lift from the inside. The rooms are very spacious but unfortunately our room was full of lady birds, as much as I like lady birds...

Thank you for your review, I am sorry to hear that your experience wasn't all positive. The comments regarding the hog roast have been passed to our head chef so we can take it up with our hog roast supplier. I am sorry that you feel the hotel needs a face lift we have a rolling maintenance programme to make...

Stayed here on business for one night in April 2017. Having read previous reviews i would have to agree that the place really is a bit tired. The main building really is stunning from the outside, but badly in need of some love on the inside. I stayed in one of the annexe buildings and again the room was just...

Thank you for your review, I am pleased you found the staff to be friendly and courteous. We do have a planned maintenance programme to upgrade parts of the hotel. We always try to offer a freshly prepared breakfast cooked to order as it is always far better than a buffet option but obviously takes longer to prepare. We look...

I have stayed here on a number of occasions recently on business. The hotel is situated in beautiful grounds with amazing architecture which is as beautiful on the inside as it is stunning on the outside. There are rooms in the main building as well as the annexes and all have everything you need for a comfortable nights stay. Given...

Overnight stay on business, my usual hotel was fully booked, so first time here. From the outside the hotel looks stunning (sorry that's the only positive); inside is a bit tired; if you are in one of the rooms in the adjacent buildings the wi-fi isn't great; and then to the evening meal....the food was good, however when ordering a...

Called in here today for a coffee. The car park was looking unkempt. The front door to the hotel was looking quite scuffed as though people frequently open it by kicking it with their feet. The chap on reception who also made the coffee was smartly dressed and friendly. When I went into the lounge bar there was no one...

Lovely afternoon tea with family. My first visit which was pleasant and very reasonably priced. Castle Bromwich gardens are at the rear of the hotel and often have events open to the public. The hotel is an excellent base for anyone visiting Birmingham with close links to the M6 and the airport.

The hotel is stunning, and the rooms clean and comfortable. My big gripe here was the rubbish wifi in the outbuildings where I was staying. The food was fairly average and breakfast dire. Coffee undrinkable! The staff were nice enough but just looked fairly lost at times. It is a shame that such a stunning hotel which could be a...

My room was very comfortable and a good size, although not in the main hotel. The ensuite was a decent size and very clean. The heating was controlled from the room. The décor of the hotel is lovely. The waiting staff in the restaurant were helpful, attentive and very welcoming. The food was delicious !! The bar area is very...
