We had a couple of nights in Birmingham and found it useful as we had a car and although the centre is a bit of a mess with a lot of development going on the receptionist gave us a handy map for getting into the centre- about ten minutes. In fact the lobby display stand has a better one which... More

I was pleasantly surprised at how easy check-in was. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The double room we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. For a short stay, I would definitely recommend this hotel! Cheap, comfortable and clean!

As most Ibis hotels, the Ibis budget Birmingham Centre is a reasonably priced, no frills hotel located quite centrally (15 min walk from the train station and city centre) in Birmingham. On the night we arrived there was an issue with our booking/payment (done via Tripadvisor Hotels but fulfilled by Booking.com) and they had cancelled our room without Booking.com telling... More

Our first view of this hotel was not great after trekking from Birmingham New Street Station along a busy dual carriageway and navigating a dirty subway. The hotel itself seemed okay although having 3 security guards on reception did nothing to improve our first impression. The staff were very friendly and we checked in quickly with no problems. I was... More

Thank you for sharing your feedback in relations to your recent stay with us. I was only too sorry that the hotel or room layout did not meet your expectations on this occasion. Comfortable bed, plenty of hot water with good pressure. Ample sockets and good lighting. Clean. What more can you ask for the price. One criticism for management. Two slot toaster is not sufficient, especially at weekends when you have to queue for some time.

So just got back from this hotel today and I have good things and bad things to say about this place. I want to start by saying we didn't pay a lot for this hotel so we weren't expecting a lot, we were just using it as a base for the centre of Birmingham for the hippodrome and surrounding area.... It has very cheap prices , but is clean and comfortable(very soft bed) The bus station is right in the front of the hotel and in 5 minutes you're in the center. .at Bullring, New Street and other city attractions.I didn't like the smell in the hallway. I will stay here again if i ever come back to visit Birmingham.

I needed two nights in Birmingham within walking distance of New Street Station. This was just about the cheapest of the several low-price hotels I found. Don't be put off by the fact that it's in a run-down part of the city, right next to the six-lane dual-carriageway that leads south from the New Street/Bull Ring area. It's easy to... More
