We had a lovely lunch here for the umpteenth time and whilst the atmosphere is a little subdued at lunchtime it was still a very pleasurable experience. I can't help but thinking that there are competitive restaurants around the city that offer very good food and wine for half the price.

Friendly welcome to a dinner booking. Table by the window, all very spacious. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Two menus, a la carte and Taster which had at least eight small courses, all as elaborate as jewellery. Between-Courses offerings which cleaned the palate. Crockery and cutlery were part of the presentation: visual, tactile, olfactory [very delicately, so] and taste - holistic....

Well was all that I have anticipated Some who had been previous said that the refurbishment had made it look to clean and sharp Would point out that would agree with the style of chairs, you could trap your fingers with the person next to you due to the shape of the arm Anyway enough of the above Food was...

Simpsons has been on the list for a while and after reading recent reviews since the refurb, I was a little apprehensive. However, I can categoracally say that it was amazing. Faultless service, the taster menu was fantastic and a great wine list. If you don't have the taster, there were 4 choices of starters and mains to chose from....

I admit to being a fan of Luke Tipping's outstanding ability to create great food. This evening was another memorable meal. With nice service, and relaxed atmosphere. Loved the old Simpson's decor. Really like the new.

We have lived in Birmingham for nearly ten years and always wanted to go to Simpsons. I bought my husband a voucher for his birthday and we went for the tasting menu. It was fantastic and a real experience with amazing flavours and presentation. Service was attentive but not at all pretentious and we enjoyed chatting with our waitress. We...

I took my wife to Simpsons tonight for her birthday. I have to say there really has been significant change since our last two visits. The decor is the first thing you see and it is very modern. I had an overriding impression that the lounge area needes a good clean and did not give a favourable impression. The rug...

Visited Simpsons for an evening meal. Initially we were a bit taken aback by all the changes, the lighting seemed a bit to bright. We chose to go for the taster menu. As soon as the food began to arrive we were impressed from the very first course to the end we were impressed with the presentation, at times too...

Simpson's certainly comes into its own in the Summer. We had an exquisite meal overlooking the garden, just beautiful. The heritage tomato and lobster with coriander tea was particularly interesting and delicious, with a story to go with it. Lunch is such good value and such a pleasure

My husband took me for lunch here for my birthday. I had heard loads about it so was really looking forward to it. The location is close to Hagley Road and has some parking on the grounds. Can imagine it getting busy at night. The deco is nice and simple. I love my cocktails and the staff were helpful in...
