From the minute you pull up outside you know it is a mistake. Why did I not read TA reviews before booking - lesson learnt. Old, dirty and tired. Front desk staff no idea, although friendly enough. Bar staff are slow and don't seem trained. I did not dare eat there. Carpet on the stairs held together with tape. Room...

We booked a double room. Checked in to say that they had no double rooms, only twin. I said we'd booked a double the week before and paid the price for that! The receptionist was offhand and said to my husband that a twin would cost more! We said we weren't paying any more money when we had booked and...

Start with the good - the lady on reception was lovely, and I had a lovely time in the bar area with my friends before heading up to my room......but as for the room and the general state of the hotel, it was simply awful. It was like being transported back in time to the 1970's (which wasn't the problem)...

We had a one night stay for our next day flight. It was considered a bargain, until we actually got there. It outdated, worn out, tired and dull! The bed and bathroom were clean thankfully, but the drab furniture and ancient curtains just looked miserable. Carpets and flooring are worn out all around the hotel. The restaurant is underused as...

If you look at the brochure for this Hotel it:is blatantly obvious the photographs were taken when the Hotel was new.I get that the Prices are reasonable but the thinnest Duvet in the world along with the Thinnest pillow in the world did not make for a warm or comfortable nights sleep. The bath tap dripped all night the enamel...

Shame on you Britannia Management for still offering this hotel. This is the 2nd worse hotel I have ever stopped in - the first is the Britannia Hotel in Stoke. This hotel was booked for my wife and I because it was convenient for the NEC which is about the only saving grace. Parked in the car park and had...

Stayed here for one night on a visit to the NEC as it is very handy to there. The hotel decor is very dated and tired but comfortable, clean and warm. Our 3rd floor room had a great shower with lots of hot water. Found the radiator very noisy until I worked out how to adjust the settings. Breakfast we...

Faulty towers was five stars compared to this! First of all the wifi was misleading it's only available in reception area not in rooms. The decor is a piece of art from 1960's era, floor to ceiling was atrocious. I don't know how one went from Holiday inn (3*) to this so called 3* hotel it definitely is not what's stated!...

Thought we were getting a good deal here. £65 for one night stay and 15 days parking but beware it costs £26 for a taxi to the airport plus the same return...what a rip off !! Hotel itself is stuck in the 70's, room okay but had the tiniest tv I have seen in a while had a nice steak...

The hotel is on a hill, not much to look at other than a block. Room was basic but OK to shower and sleep. Food was lovely over the Christmas time. Staff were helpful and polite. There is a pub down the road about 15mins walk called Rainbow Inn which was lively with different age groups and a good atmosphere....
