Met friends for a pub evening meal. Very nice pub and friendly staff. We had a good table with loads of room. Avocado and Stilton bake for starter was very tasty and the main course sea bass was also good. My wife's risotto was also good, but could have been hotter. Well worth a visit and we will be back.

The pub was mobbed and we turned upon spec. We were fourtunate to find a spare bench to sit. We were warned when ordering food that there maybe a wait. Perhaps because our expectation the food came out in a very reasonable time. The vegetable pasta was very good as was the fish and chips my son had. The home...

The Fox restaurant was recommended to us by a local so we had quite high expectations. There were 4 of us in total Two of us wanted roast beef and two wanted the lamb. Unfortunately the lamb was all sold out but we did go there at 3pm on a Sunday so I would suggest going earlier if you want...

Visited this pub several times before and the menu has always been lovely and food fantastic. This was our first time for a Sunday roast, so often even good pubs let themselves down with roast dinners but not the case here, it was perfect, everything spot on lovely meat great yorkshires lovely veg and gravy. Really recommend this outstanding pub

I booked a stay at The Fox Goes Free as a long weekend break. It is a PROPER country pub, NO fruit machines, NO pool table, NO sports TV. Just a bar full of locals and their dogs and some decent ales on tap, heaven! The food was good, large portions and always served quickly even when the place got...

Our room was very spacious, pleasant, clean and well decorated. There was no view much, because it was above the kitchen but noise was minimal. The bed was king sized and had the most comfortable 'back friendly' mattress I have ever slept on. All the staff were polite and friendly and helpful. Loved the food and atmosphere.

Myself and my wife have just spent a thoroughly lovely 2 nights and days in this wonderful pub. Wanting 2 relaxing days away from work we had picked the Fox Goes Free as we love the area around Chichester. I don't think any comments we make can actually do justice to the wonderful friendly environment, the beautiful location and the...

We visited this cosy country put on a quiet night last week, food came fairly quickly and proved to be delicious. Would recommend both the pie of the week and the fish pie! Thank you having us, we'd definitely return if we were in the area again.
