The room itself was fine...a bit worn but what you’d expect for the price. When I booked I paid in advance with Apple Pay on Booking.com. When we arrived the lady checking us in insisted this wasn’t the case, despite me showing her a screen...More
Stayed here for two nights, was a good price for a good sized room!
Bed was a little worn out! Facilities were good, tea and coffee available. The staff were extremely pleasant, friendly and very helpful.

Hi. I can only go on our stay at the beginning of June this year. The accommodation was adequate for our stay as we used it for a base. Our room was clean and bedding also. Furniture was a bit dated and well usedone, but most hotels are like this. TV with Dvd player on wall. Desk and chair and wardrobe.Bathroom was small but clean. Staff were so friendly and breakfast was fantastic, especially as we only paid £79 for 3 nights for the both of us. Towels were changed every day. We didn't see a lot of workmen but it was evident that it was still under refurbishment. There was a lot of traffic but this is only expected as the hotel is on the main road. Drink was cheap in the bar which also has a pool table and conservatory. I couldn't fault our stay, would definitely go back.
I hope this helps put your husbands mind at rest :)
