We stayed at the Old Silent Inn for just one night but I'd have happily stayed longer. The downstairs area is a gorgeous old pub which is obviously popular with locals & visitors. We were pleased to find after arriving at around 6pm after a LONG day of walking, that they reserve space for residents to eat in the restaurant... More

We regularly visit this pub for bar meals & drinks after walking, always such a warm friendly welcome, even with our dog! Very dog friendly (only in the bar area, which is fine with us as we prefer that area), they have a wonderful specials board & their main menu has plenty of choice for everyone, this is a lovely... Stayed during our Pennine way walk and we were made very welcome on arrival. Comfy clean room. On the small side but its a very old building . Staff were very helpful and friendly. Evening meals were nice and a reasonable price.

We visited the Old Silent Inn twice whilst on holiday in the area. There was a warm welcome from the team and the customer service was second to none. The steak and ale pie was extremely good. Plenty of it and very tasty. We would definitely return when back in the area.

My husband and I only took an evening meal at this inn; The Old Silent Inn has a quaint exterior and a somewhat worn interior - noticeable areas of wear places on carpets at entrances/exits to the inn and at interior doorways. There was a profusion of artifical roses in curious places and a grand collection of tea pots for... More

What a great stay we had here for the beginning of our Pennine Way hike. As soon as we got in (late by the way) our room was reserved and the Landlord had reserved us a table by the fire. The beer was good and I would strongly recommend the Lamb. The best pub we stayed in on our hike.

Originally, this was our second choice to spend time in Yorkshire (we couldn't get in contact with our first choice - turns out that the bloke running that has since retired since we were last over in England). However, we enjoyed our stay. Meals are delicious, staff are friendly, have a great sense of humour and respectful. We were given... More

We stayed at The Old Silent Inn for one night whilst visiting family in the area. We were welcomed by the very friendly owner and shown to our room. The hotel was fully booked that night and we were given room 7.This is a very small but clean room BUT the reason I only gave 4stars was that it had... More

My wife and I spent 6 nights at Old Silent Inn and it was a wonderful place to stay so that we explore all over Yorkshire. It is only just outside Haworth so is very handy for both the Bronte enthusiast and the Worth Valley Railway for the Steam Train enthusiast . John, the landlord, and the staff are all... More
