My wife and I had the pleasure of spending a night in Lane Ends House near the end of our month long travels in Scotland and the north of England. It was lovely stay! The owners were friendly and helpful, the room and bath were very clean, the beds were comfortable, the breakfast was great, there is off street parking...

I stayed one night at Lane Ends House. Communication beforehand was excellent and I found the property easily. A parking space is provided outside the property. The single room had all that I needed although is is compact. I awoke after a good nights sleep to a sunny day and magnificent scenery !. Carolyn made an excellent breakfast exactly to...

Although the twin room was small it was perfectly adequate, and warm and cosy when we stayed recently during an extremely cold snap. The beds were comfy with good quality linen. It was nice to have the use of the downstairs lounge/kitchen. The views of the village and fields beyond were lovely. There are a couple of pubs within a...

My wife and I stayed there last weekend in the twin room. Room wasn't extra large but HEY you're only sleeping there after all. Its like home from home, come and go as you please. Carolyn was the perfect hostess nothing was too much trouble for her. Full English breakfast started you off for the day. Perfect views from the...

I was a volunteer at the Tour de France and needed a room close to my muster point for an 0600 check-in. I took the single room which is probably the smallest I have ever stayed in. But, it had a comfortable bed with good quality linen, a well appointed bathroom with loads of hot water and large towels. I...

This is a great set up. We had the twin room for one night, it's not huge but has everything you need and is spotlessly clean. The living room is cosy, home from home. Breakfast was excellent and the view from the dining area was lovely even on a grey day. I would recommend this to anyone.

"Carolyn" was a great hostess. The property is sited overlooking rolling fields. However, it is right on a road and the travelers can be, ahem, be a bit brisk. However, the only room affected in the front single (which I had) and it was certainly tolerable. Nice gastropub down the road!

Stayed here for a wedding over a weekend. Had major issues with my car and ended up having to hire one, phoned to let them know and they were fantastic about it. The place is really nice, its a small single room but enough room for a bed, a tv and the bathroom is all you need really - especially...

Great little guest house, absolutely spotless. Great breakfast, would stay again. Owner was very accommodating, she even got up early to cook breakfast so that we could get any early start, cant think many would do that! Place was spotless. Shared lounge kitchen area but as there is only two bedrooms its almost your own! Thanks
