Stayed for 4 nights midweek Mon-Fri. On arrival check in was quick and easy nice warm welcome. Our room was at the far end of the hotel next to the road of the main one into Calverley. Traffic could be heard but it was easily tolerable and didn't put us off! The room it's self was warm and welcoming with...

I stayed at the hotel for one night for business purposes. My night included dinner and breakfast in the pub downstairs. The hotel itself is okay, a bit dated perhaps and basic, but perfectly okay. Comfortable bed, large room, quiet once the bar was closed - exactly what was required. The pub itself is a nice building with a good...

4 of us stayed in 3 rooms for 1 night. The beds were really comfortable and despite being near to a main road it was nice and quiet. The bathroom extractor fans need replacing in a couple of the rooms as they are very noisy and one of the hair driers had a do not use sticker on it, so...

Clean, comfortable beds. Clean, white towels. Clean and tidy rooms with every, if basic, thing you will need for an overnight stay. Outstanding value at £58 for a large family room which was warm and comfortable. Only downside was the free complimentary breakfast. Maybe I shouldn't complain as it was free but it was quite poor. The cooked breakfasts looked...

My wife and I stopped for three nights recently and we were pleasantly surprised. All the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the Calverly Arms (part of the same building) was a typical English pub with log fires, good ales and great quality meals. We did have a problem with a very noisy guest in the next room who stamped...

Have stayed before -no issues this time in room11-no sound effective insulation between this room and room 12 plus mega issue with creaking floors affecting both rooms which ensured disturbance both nights Would visit again but not these rooms-some action is needed !

Our Daughter and Grandson stayed here for a family weekend. The Family room was huge and very clean. Our request for a cot was dealt with and it was ready and waiting. The inclusive breakfast was good with a great choice. Staff were friendly and helpful and took an interest in our grandson. The room was good value for what...

Great litte find in a convenient location for getting around First time I've travelled alone and was caught up in the floods down south delaying my arrival , I arrived after midnight and the manager couldn't be more helpful, My husband asked if they could have a sandwich made for me on arrival and this I took to my room...

Booked in yesterday (8/10/2016) for an overnight stay as we were attending a friends engagement party. The Calverley Arms is a beautiful building set in its own grounds which was converted into a hotel in 1999. On arrival the staff were very friendly and booking in was completed with the minimum of fuss. Our room was very well appointed, clean...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Nestled in the picturesque village of Calverley, this pretty 19th century inn is a slice of Yorkshire calm that's equally close to the commercial hubs of Bradford and Leeds. So whether you're planning a short break or a business trip, it makes for an ideal escape. The Caverley Arms is a fine Victorian building with 14 rooms and a cosy pub. You won't have to wander far, then, if you're in the mood for a pint of cask ale or some heart-warming, seasonally inspired food.Judging from Victorian maps, the lodge's roots date back at least to the 1850s, but its stunning views over the Aire Valley are truly timeless. The pub's garden, which occupies a beautiful spot bordered by large trees and open countryside, is the perfect place to enjoy them, especially during summer. If you're feeling more active, there's lots of great rambling nearby and plenty of attractions to keep you occupied, from Pudsey Park, medieval Calverley Hall and the stunning Kirkstall Abbey to the hustle and bustle of Leeds City Shopping Centre. ... more   less
