Thus hotel is south of the Salisbury Cathedral so it's a little ways from the center of town. We like to walk so it was fine for us. The hotel has a small river behind it and a sheep meadow with the cathedral afar. It's very peaceful looking and scenic . We were fortunate to gave a room on the...

It's a building of charm and character, with a quirky internal layout, and - from our room at least - provides a spectacular view of the Cathedral's spire across the river. The staff were helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was robust, hearty and plentiful, and the pricing was spot-on.

I booked a superior room for my sister and myself expecting some little luxuries. Couldn't be further from the truth. I am sure that at one time this was a characterful hotel but it is now so tired it has gone to sleep! The room was a big disappointment. The curtains had been scorched by the sun and had long...

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times when visiting family locally. It is a very atmospheric building which has been extended over the years & the setting is beautiful. We have had a room which looked over lawns to 2 rivers & beyond, fields, with sheep grazing. There is a wonderful view of the cathedral which in this setting...

We stayed one night in late May. Great location: about 10 minute walk to Salisbury Cathedral and 15 minutes or so to town. Our room location was wonderful, in the back overlooking the River Avon and the Cathedral. Nice terrace in the back as well for a drink and great views. We liked a lot about the Grasmere House, but...

We stayed here on our 10th Wedding Anniversary,we had a of couple of nights away. We've stayed here before, (many years ago) . Lovely quiet location overlooking the river meadow with views of the Cathedral Spire. We had a room with a 4 poster bed. We went back to Grasmere for our 2nd reunion and were not disappointed. They have a nice mixture of new & 'old' rooms. Lovely setting. Good food and service in a nice 'old in parts' house. We'll be back in 2 years.

I Saturday at the Grasmere House Hotel on business and I couldn't of asked for a better place to stay. The staff were extremely friendly and the breakfast in the morning was great. The view from my bedroom was overlooking the lawn and river so if you want a nice view, request room 15.

The hotel looks absolutely beautiful online and the presentation of the frontage is beautiful The staff are very helpful and pleasant but simply not enough of them The bedroom was well set out with an enormous bed and everything we needed. The bathroom unfortunately smelt stale and the walk in shower didn't look particularly clean
