We stayed 2 nights here. The room was comfortable & well appointed. Maybe a touch on the small side. The bathroom was spotless, the towels & bedding divine & the choice of sparkling or still water perfect. We ate in the restaurant & the meal was superb. The owners were delightful & the staff nothing but pleasant & helpful. Good...

Have stayed here as a single woman on business in three different rooms. I can't fault this place. Run by a charming and efficient South African couple who seem to be permanently on duty, supported by a courteous and cheerful staff, I felt very comfortable and at home. Rooms are immaculate and high spec - crisp white sheets, fluffy white...

Stayed here recently very different hotel uneven floors in every room and also the staircase in a lovely Tudor building. Staff were very helpful when we got there we were upgraded as they weren't full which was a nice touch. We complained about the room being cold and were told the heating was on but took time to get to...

Thank you for sharing your experiences. From its age, the character of the building fits the 'quirky' description. Our breakfast choices are amazing and incorporate fresh locally sourced products. Looking forward to seeing you on your next visit to Salisbury!

This hotel surpassed expectations. The welcome was warm, helpful and friendly and the room was great. Lovely décor which is fits the character of the building but with a modern twist. The duvets are like sleeping under a cosy cloud (I imagine). The staff were most accommodating at dinner, If you are thinking of going out for dinner or eating...

Hotel offers rooms, a bar & a restaurant. Excellent service by all hotel & restaurant staff throughout our one night mid week stay. Room was clean & well presented & as described. Restaurant food was very good and sensibly priced and on the night we dined it was 90% full. Wine list offered a good selection at sensible prices. Easy...

Stayed her with my mother and stepfather in July. Absolutely wonderful hotel run by an amazing staff. The restaurant is also phenomenal. The hotel is a composition of four old buildings, one of which is a magnificent tudor. Many of the rooms have outstanding fireplaces and wonderful old beams. A must for anyone wishing to see Salisbury!

Great Hotel! Very cosy and welcoming, helpful attentive staff. Amazing breakfast! We stayed in the King Charles room. Amazing with original wood panelling and fireplace. Beware though, the room is very dark and uneven floor and very Creaky (did'nt sleep very well) but well worth the experience!

The Chapter House, excellent weekend stay at this hotel while site seeing in Salisbury with friends. Well located for exploring the nearby Cathedral. Friendly staff and first class accommodation in a well equipped executive room with plenty of room and a comfortable bed. The hotel is well maintained, clean and steeped in history. Just had a nice weekend at this hotel, we were upgraded to an executive suite because there was a wedding party taking up most of the hotel, in case we were disturbed by the noise. We in fact we're at a party off site, so it was great. Nice clean rooms, comfortable bed and a great breakfast next morning. Just...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Situated in the heart of historic Salisbury, The Chapter House comprises a cosy steakhouse restaurant, friendly pub and 17 comfortable letting rooms. It lies within easy reach of some of Southern England's most important landmarks. The stone for the Salisbury Cathedral, a mere five minute walk away, was cut in what is now the restaurant, making the hotel's initial construction almost 800 years old. Some of the original stone and ironwork is still left exposed inside the property. The 17 boutique en-suite rooms are all unique and quirky, some with original panelling and fireplaces and all with fluffy goose down duvets, Egyptian cotton linen, luxurious H2K toiletries and flatscreen TVs. The Chapter House boasts a bustling restaurant and grillhouse where flame grilled steaks, a la carte dining and hearty pub food are served in an ambient environment. The perfect base when visiting Wiltshire's historic sites, The Chapter House is also an ideal stop over en route to the coast or as a home-from-home option when on a business trip. ... more   less
