A very worm welcome, being a very fit 75 year old, I found the stairs very steep, and not easy. The rooms where very Small, the first room we looked at, there wasn't room for a chair. The only window we could open, was the toilet. The only Fire escape I could see, was the steep stair case. Breckfast was...

From all of the reviews we have had over the years, this stands out as an out of character one - not fitting in with what we have built up to. However, I would like to address the points that you mention We categorically state on our website that the building is old and thus original fittings - including steep...

Friendly staff and a very pleasent place to stay. Good facilities and clean well appointed rooms. The place is old but that adds to charm of this boutique hotel. Nice breakfast. Will definitely be back when next in UK

Brilliantly located for Eton and Windsor this is a delightfully quirky B&B. If you don't like steep stairs and sloping floors you'd be better off in somewhere more conventional, but for us it was a great place to stay. Our room was clean and well decorated. We had an excellent night's sleep in a very comfortable bed with no traffic...

After receiving appalling service at a nearby place, we stopped here for a drink and was immediately welcomed with a warm smile. We stayed for dinner and was amazed at the portion sizes! The food and service was brilliant...Would highly recommend to others and next time we would definitely be staying here as well!!

Two of us popped in for light lunch and drink yesterday. Good cask ales on tap (Marlow Brewery) which were obviously well kept. Had sandwiches - really tasty and generous portions. Friendly and helpful staff. Worth seeking out.

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Crown & Cushion and the room (1) we stayed was newly decorated and furniture was of good quality oak. Bathroom had also been newly fitted out but a couple of items needed were shelf to place toiletries on (toothbrushes, toothpaste etc) Also the addition of a towel rail would have meant...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Crown and Cushion is a delightful pub with 8 en-suite rooms. It is pleasantly situated in Eton High Street, which is a stone's throw from Windsor. Situated in the picturesque setting of Eton High Street, we are surrounded by history. Dating back to the 1600’s, The Crown and Cushion has been an Inn since 1753. Just minutes walk from Windsor Castle and Eton College and a short drive away from various attractions including Legoland, Royal Ascot Racecourse and Cliveden House. Having recently been refurbished, The Crown and Cushion offers you good food and good accommodation at reasonable prices. We have eight en-suite rooms: 2 Kings, 5 Doubles and 1 compact double. Put up beds can be added if needed at no extra cost; please discuss this at time of booking. Continental and a full English breakfast is included. The building is full of character and is very quirky in places. Allegedly built from old ships timbers, some of the floors are wonky and lots of the floorboards are creaky – but that is what makes it charming! The rooms are situated over two floors so if you require a first floor room please mention at the time of booking and we will do our best. We have an unusual American theme and our aim is to make you feel as relaxed as possible and send you off happy whether you have just had a drink, meal or a whole night’s stay. There is an outside patio should you wish to eat or drink outside. All our food is available for takeaway if you don’t have time to stop or you want to eat at home. For our staying guests, parking is available on site but this is not unlimited and we therefore request that parking is allocated to one car per booking. We will try and accommodate any reasonable request from any of our customers so if you do have any special requirements then please just ask. We take bookings directly through our website. ... more   less
