This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and I struggle to see why it is. Firstly, the key to the room, it took several visits to the reception to get a working room card. The reception staff were friendly and helpful but technology really didn't do them any favours. On entering the room my husband picked up peanuts...

I was so happy with our room 309. It was spacious with a large window looking straight into Windsor Castle walls and the top of St George chapel. It got even better with a large bright bathroom with the same amazing view

My friend and I stayed here for a girly night away on Wednesday. It is a lovely traditional hotel. The staff are very efficient, attentive and friendly. Our rooms were massive with lovely views of the castle and(the corner room) of the surrounding area. The bathrooms were also large with pkeamty of room to put all of your stuff. Yes the...

This is our third visit to the H & G and we love the location, upgrading to a castle view room. It's set on the main stretch through Windsor with plenty of shops, restaurants and pubs to visit. The theatre is just a few doors away and, of course Windsor Castle - splendid place to visit. We didn't go in...

Right opposite the Castle the hotel is in a great position. The staff are really friendly and attentive. Because of this I can say I enjoyed the stay. My room on the 3rd floor was functional and comfortable. As a business conference hotel it wasn't ideal. The meeting room was barely big enough with rudimentary equipment that was just about...

We stayed here the last day of our vacation and it was a beautiful room. It was spacious and the bathtub was huge!! Loved it. We didn't have a castle view but the view was still nice. Its right across the street from the castle. It was a very short stay but it was great.

The room I was in was very spacious, with all amenities needed available. If you're a light sleeper, ask for a room which is not on the streetside, as you'll be woken up by cleaning trucks at 5.30 a.m. Although I wasn't very happy with the bed either as you started to feel the springs after a while, which became...

The only good thing about the hotel is its location. We have first been given a nice room but there was a continuous noise of extractor fan so we ask to change and they did. The room was nice although it wasn't very clean. Then we decided to try the Spa. We've been told that the sauna and the hydro-pool...

Stayed here for a weekend break in Windsor in late February 2017 and paid £215 for two nights in a superior room. The hotel was easy to find and is located directly opposite Windsor Castle and 30 seconds from a host of different restaurants, cafes and pubs. After paying for a superior room I was surprised by how cramped the...

Have stayed here before but mid-week hence return visit with family. However, I did not realise they hold regular "Dance parties" at weekends once a month. Our visit coincided with one of these and our rooms were on the 1st floor along from the bar and function room. So do not accept room 121 or 122 if you want to...
