We arrived at the Lygon and were seated at a table in a very small but cosy room next to the main dining room. There was an elderly gentleman lay on a sofa who was waiting for friends in the room but no one else. The gentleman fell asleep and snored throughout our dining experience, which was definitely a new...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW

Myself and my partner stayed at the Lygon Arms as an Easter treat. Everything about the stay met and exceeded our expectations. All the staff we encountered were lovely and couldn't do enough for us. We paid for some treatments in the hotel spa and thoroughly enjoyed them. The lady who did our treatments was so nice and chatty, and...

Visited for a couples overnight break - the hotel is lovely, our room in the courtyard was spacious, very nicely decorated, very clean and had all of the amenities you could need. The room had quite low ceilings and was very hot with poorly functioning air conditioning - but this was our only issue with the room. The hotel is...

Spent one night in the hotel as a special treat for my partner. We stayed in a courtyard room. The room was large and comfortable. There was a large variety of food for breakfast including kippers and smoked haddock along with the usual full english. Broadway is a good place to explore the Cotswolds from.

My wife and I recently spent four wonderful days in Broadway, April 20-24,2017. First, Broadway is a beautiful Cotswolds Village. It is very well located in the Cotswolds with easy access to what I believe to be the most beautiful part of the Cotswolds. We have visited the Cotswolds several times over the past several years. This is the first...

We had a beautiful room and a lovely dinner. The history of the hotel makes it a charming place to stay and Broadway is very pretty. The staff looked after us well and we would definitely return if we were in the area again.

The hotel has a wonderful history as well and on arrival we were captivated by the cosy interior and the very warm welcome too. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Imagine a hotel where roaring log-burning open fireplaces hint at its roots dating from the 1300's. Picture a Great Hall Restaurant with a vaulted ceiling and original wood panelling built in the seventeenth century. Visit a hotel that has been coloured by the characters of history. At The Lygon Arms, with its 78 rooms you can stay in the suite that King Charles I once stayed in the night before the Battles of Worcester in 1651. See the carvings of John Travis' name on the arch of the front door, etched into the hotel's history in 1620. An historic hotel in the heart of Broadway with a typically Cotswolds history. Dine in The Great Hall, Barringtons our typical all day dining brasserie or have lunch, a coffee or a Cotswold Gin and Tonic in one of our many lounges. A spa , swimming pool and The Lygon Gardens await you but most importantly the team look forward to welcoming you. . ... more   less
