My friend and I stayed for two nights as a birthday gift to each other (left our families at home!). The hotel was clean and comfortable throughout and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Breakfasts were delicious , especially the home made muesli. Our room was comfortable but unfortunately cold during the early evening, which was...

We eat here every couple of months and have never had a bad experience. The food is mostly locally sourced and great value. The bar area is quite small but you can reserve tables. It's a popular place for locals so has a great atmosphere and there's lots of music events at the weekend. The sports bar is in a...

Last minute visit to this hotel. Booked by phone which was more expensive than booking.com. The room we had was reasonable, no view, very warm on a cold January night. Bed was very comfortable. Good tea and coffee facilities. There was music being played when we arrived at 1045pm, but this finished at 1100. The staff were friendly and accommodating....

Stayed here for 3 nights in between Christmas and new year. Found the hotel to be very clean throughout and we were impressed with breakfast. A real effort made to accommodate gluten free diets. Staff were friendly and nice that the owner makes an effort to speak when working at breakfast time. We stayed in a room with an external...

Thank you so much for your amazing review. If someone had asked me 17 years ago when we bought the hotel, what we were trying to achieve - you have summed it up completely & utterly. It was a pleasure hosting you. Thank you again. Jeremy

Just had a new year break at this hotel. Could not fault the quality or ambiance. A really nice find and great value. Good selection of rooms, a great bar with live music on a regular basis and attentive staff. The breakfast was first class and the staff could not do enough for you. Parking could be an issue but...

We stayed here for a weekend theatre break what an exellent hotel. Room was great ,private bathroom with bath salts for a good old soak in the bath. The breakfast was good and cooked to order, whatever you wanted. Definitely stay again.

This is my local pub, and I've been drinking here for many years. There are usually three real ales available, and the prices compare favourably with other popular local establishments. There is decent local music several nights a week in the bar. Recently I've discovered the lovely food. Really good and excellent value. Better than most so called gastropubs. Being...

Easily the best breakfast we had in 3 weeks in the UK, stayed in the topmost floor apartment, plenty of space comfortable beds, no shower a bit of a down side but mostly just because I'm a very large man, however, as with the rest of the apartment, the bathroom was wonderfully appointed and pleasant at a very reasonable price

Warm welcome on arrival and managed to secure a parking space outside reception. We were stopping in the hideaway on the 3 rd floor. As it had a separate lounge area then it would be a nice place to catch up with family when they joined us for the second evening. Would have rated our stay as excellent but when...

Had a Christmas dinner here this week with a group of friends. The service was great and the quantity of food was more than sufficient but the starter and main course were very salty which rather spoiled the meal.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Great Malvern Hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Great Malvern. We are a friendly, family run business offering comfortable accommodation, great food, and good, old fashioned hospitality and service. Built in 1842 the hotel has been updated whilst still retaining many of it's historical features. The Sutton Family bought The Great Malvern Hotel in 1999, with the intention of running a small town centre hotel which had been an ambition of Jeremy. Rani, his wife, his children and parents have a day to day influence in the hotel and are supported by long standing members of staff. Good accommodation, good food and fine CAMRA cask ales. ... more   less
