The staff were helpful and friendly but the only other two things this hotel had in it's favour were the views of the muddy River Severn and the room and bedding were clean. The décor in the hotel was tired and in some places shabby our bathroom door only opened halfway as it was obstructed by the bath. The choice...

Stayed at this hotel ( should be downgraded to a 1 star bed and breakfast) . The first impressions of the hotel were not good. Cigarette ends outside on the floor ,the windows obviously needed a good clean and outside paintwork needed re doing. As you walk through the door you come through to the bar and a poorly lit...

Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Quite why it hasn't been condemned for use by humans amazes me. It was filthy, the shower didn't work and had mould.. The loo still had a floating trophy from the last visitor.. The stench of damp and other interesting smells was nauseating. The window couldn't open and the glass was...

It was cheapish but anything but cheerful. This was undoubtedly the worst hotel I have ever stayed in anywhere in the world.Where to start!.The entry is through a shocking looking bar into a smalll corridor with carpet that was older than the Cathedral.Every second light bulb was removed as one negotiated a stairs out of Dickens Oliver Twist. The room supposedly had...

Myself and a friend booked a 1 night stay at this hotel and were pleasantly surprised at the modern bar area as you enter. The hotel reception desk and carpeted stairways are quite dated but the rooms were clean along with bathroom facilities and was nice to see tea, coffee and biscuits in the room. Going into the breakfast area...

Place needs a lick of paint my fiancé opened the window and had to wash her hands after as they were that dirty, a little mouldy in the shower and the bathroom door wasn't attached properly at the bottom so just swung a bit. We tried to go for breakfast 3 times but all 3 times there was no one...

I have to agree with the previous review and I won't focus on any negatives as I have had assurances that these are being dealt with due to the fact they have just taken over the hotel. The staff in this hotel are perhaps the friendliest I have ever come across and this is coming from someone who travels very...

I want to stress from the outset how friendly & welcoming the team of young staff members were, and if the rating system allowed scores for staff they would get top marks. A hotel is so much more than it's staff, though, and sadly the environment was very disappointing. The building is old and has character, and it's quirkiness has...
