This was a birthday treat and I am sorry to say the food was dissapointing. Really expected something special but sad to say it wasn't. What was really good was the young staff that served our food they were very friendly and proffesional. I don't know their names but there was a young couple that could not do enough for...

We stayed at Nanteos Mansion House Hotel and had a friendly and excellent welcome. The food was locally sourced, the menu seasonal and served beautifully in the simple, stylish dining room. My husband is disabled and the room facilities were excellent, with a wet room, shower stool, two sinks, one a seated height and one at standing height. The rooms...

Friendly helpful staff made our visit memorable, especially the very knowledgeable young man who took us on a house and grounds tour. A nice light lunch in the delightful dining room was fine, tho' the Welsh rarebit would be better served on thick toast not skinny! The grade 1 listed house is a gem and really worth the visit, the...

The location is lovely. Great atmosphere. Having said this the mansion looked half done and in the process of being done up....doors to rooms open with iron and sheets on the floor. The food was good. Bread a bit stale. No substitution for salmon sandwiches which was disappointing. The cakes were lovely but I would have liked to know what...

We booked the Nanteos Hotel for a mid week 3 night break. Having read some of the reviews over the last six months we did wonder what we would find. Contrary to some of those reviews, we found all the staff to be friendly, helpful, attentive and welcoming, and the food excellent, especially the breakfasts. In short those negative reviews...

This must be one of the best historic building hotels in Wales, with its beautiful architecture, atmospheric rooms and smart, friendly, knowledgeable staff. We spent 3 nights in the largest bedroom we've ever stayed in ("Nightingale Room") with it's 2 large chandeliers (one in the bathroom, which, itself, was bigger than a typical bedroom) and period furniture with beautifully decorated...

This hotel has so much potential it's offensive, but unfortunately, I fear that the management doesn't know what it's doing. It is in the most beautiful parkland setting and the building itself is stunning. But it seems that the staff don't quite know what they're doing as clearly shortcuts have been taken on their training, if they have received any...

Having read the reviews I was excited to book a relaxing break with my wife. Unfortunately relaxing was not how it turned out. We arrived at the hotel at 13.45 with the room advertised to be ready at 14.00. Unfortunately our room wasn't ready until 15.00. We went to the room to find a letter in there saying that the...
