Really great stay here, perfectly positioned for the Watkins path up to the summit of Snowdon. The staff were great, the views were stunning! Extremely reasonable price wise, no wifi but for me that was a bonus, they do have a pay phone should you need one. Highly recommend.

A great family friendly Youth Hostel in the heart of Snowdonia overlooking the Llyn Gwynant. We stayed in the Coach House which I recommend if you have children otherwise head for the main house. We had a lovely view over the lake from our room which was fantatstic to wake upto in a morning. Great for exploring Snowdon but out...

The setting is stunning and perfectly placed for Snowdon. The staff were great and the food was fine. The communal lounges and the kitchen were really good and well equipped. We chose a two person room which was small, fairly basic but absolutely fine. The only downside was a very bright green emergency light in the bedroom which stayed on...

The service was very good and the staff was friendly. The kitchen is ok, but there are some things missing (for example a big knife). The room was very small, with a bunk bed and very cold and draughty... The real problem was that the rooms wall was directly next to the toilets and showers which was very noisy.

Having travelled up to North Wales for the 6th Trail run at Portmeirion I needed somewhere to stay. I had stayed at Bryn Gwynant a couple of years ago and had a great stay and this recent stay did not disappoint. The staff were great nothing was too much trouble, I had both an evening meal and breakfast both were...

Booked this as it's very convenient near the start of the Watkins path. In fairness, the location and surrounding scenery is stunning, as is the outside of the main building. And the staff were lovely. However!! I've stayed at hostels around the world and, by some margin, this is the filthiest, most over priced and soul less hostel I've seen....

My first impression was what a wonderful old victorian house this was and in the morning we were treated to some wonderful views across the lake to the hills. The staff were very helpful and welcoming, however they were surprisingly lacking in knowledge of ground conditions on the hills. My daughter had a great conversation with one of the staff...

Group of 18 teenagers plus adults arrived late but welcomed by friendly staff. Fortunately no one else in main building so noise and late bed time did not infringe on anyone else. Great for our requirements.

The hostel is set in an amazing location, easy to walk snowdon. Friendly staff. Excellent kitchen, dining room to eat and the room was comfortable. No WIFI or games room so worth bringing your own entertainment.

Three of used this as a base to get our bikes up Mount Snowdon. Other hostels are nearer but were full. We stayed in a 5 person en-suite room. Some areas had been refurbished or repainted and some needed doing. Small kitchen for the number of people who could stay there. Great views, lovely building, welcoming and friendly staff.
