Just a one night stay at the Kings Head, check in very busy as it is in the restaurant. Hotel come pub come restaurant is of quite an age and does need some attention here and there in the communal areas. Room was clean and quite basic but adequate for a one night stay. Room over looked main High street...

We were recommended by friends so went to see what it was like. We were welcomed by a waitress called Laura and a gentleman in a blue shirt who told us a table would be free in about ten minutes if we would like to got to the bar for a drink first. Five minutes pasted and the gentleman came...

We'd read some of the more recent reviews on TripAdvisor, and having read how good the place was AND how bad, booked with trepidation. As it turned out this is a perfectly fine pub with rooms, and if we're ever in Abergavenny again, we would definitely book here once more. Yes, the bedroom we were in was a bit "tired",...

The hotel rooms are very poor, when arriving I was told they were 7 months old and was expecting the room to be new also from the photos, the showers were very small and the floor sticky. My view of the high street would of been nice if i couldnt see in the window accross from me where someone was...

The King's Head provided a lovely break from the chain hotels which I stay in with alarming regularity. The staff were very nice, the room was decent (with quirky sloping floors to remind you of the age of the building) and the breakfast was fantastic. I had two different breakfasts on two consecutive days and couldn't fault them. Lovely food,...

We (a German, an American, and a Dane) traveled through Wales on motorcycles in June/July 2016 and randomly ended up in Abergavenny. We were looking for an authentic place to spend the night and got everything we were looking for in Kings Head Hotel. The hotel is conveniently located in downtown Abergavenny. The room was spacious and very clean, so...

We booked this for our wedding anniversary. My dog took really ill and my husband had to take him to the vet at 1920 on the Friday. We were supposed to stay over the Saturday night. We informed the management at the hotel on the Friday at 8pm. He was extremely rude and didn't care. He said people do it...

This hotel was booked through booking.com. It looked good and appeared to have reasonable reviews. 1 day before arrival I contacted booking.com to cancel the 2nd night of our stay (as per their cancellation policy) but was informed that the hotel management insisted that FULL payment would be required. So we decided that if we were paying we may as...

Centrally located in Abergavenny, hotel is ok, ask to see the room before committing, the room we had was very nice, a good size but think some may be very small. It was very clean and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was limited, only fresh fruit, no stewed fruit or porridge, cereals were on offer...
