After so many good reviews it's hard to find words that haven't been already been mentioned.
To sum it all up: Castlebank Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The hotel is situated in upper Conwy and offers spectacular views of the water, historic walls...More
Castlebank these days is more of a largish B&B than a hotel. It has 9 rooms and it does have a restaurant/bar area as well as a lounge, but they no longer offer evening meals except for groups by arrangement. It has private parking, useful...More

I hate to gice a 3 star review because the proprietor worked so hard to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. The excellent service, good breakfast and ideal location still didn't fully offset the fact that the room itself in small/cramped and the bathroom even...More

The hotel is minute's walk from the centre of the walled old town. I found an Italian, an Indian, and a Chinese restaurant within the walled area, which is easy to walk around. The majority of the old town is pedestrianised, although vehicles have access. There's a fish and chip shop too, and numerous pubs.

Thank you for your enquiry and sorry not to reply back to you earlier. I'm afraid that although we do like dogs we are unable to accept them at Castlebank. The nearest place I know to here that does take dogs is the Sychnant Pass Country House Hotel just outside Conwy, which is also listed on Tripadvisor. It has lovely grounds for exercising your dog and is in a very peaceful location. They also have rooms with baths ( all ours have showers).
