The Royal Goat is probably dated in today’s standards, but for me it was dated in a good way. The rooms were comfortable, the food nice, and the setting out of this world. The staff were very accommodating. If you like the bog standard Hilton’s...More
Booked this hotel solely for taking 2 dogs - nearby saracens head also does but was full. Reading reviews we knew it wasn’t going to be 5*, on arrival we had a warm welcome from chap on desk & given our key. Yes an old,...More

There is a lift to the higher floors, but it was out of order when we visited (April) so I would check with the hotel about this. I can't remember about wheelchair access, but the foyer, lounge & dining rooms were all very spacious, I just can't remember if there are steps or a slope entrance. It is a brilliant hotel and I am already planning a return visit.
