I have never written a review before but just had to warn people about staying here. This is undoubtedly the worst place that I have ever stayed in. The hotel is not only tired but disgustingly filthy and my room was almost derelict. Other residents were also vocal about how dirty the hotel was and described excretion all around their...

The beds are extremely comfy! I appreciate that work is ongoing with regards to the accommodation however there are a couple of small/minor things which could be done now to improve overall experience (i.e. Dusting away the cobwebs, getting rid of the mould in the bathroom, and removing the mouldy curtains. Continental breakfast offered a good choice (e.g. Four cereals,...

Stopped here for food, 1 person working the bar who was in no rush whatsoever. Very limited food menu but we were starving after a long day's activities. Ordered food at 6.26pm as batman wrote it on the order, food turned up at 7.24pm. We only order pie and chips. It was just pie chips and peas when it arrived,...

Dangerous burnt out sockets. Wires sticking out of wall next to kids bunk. Wrapped in insulation tape. Broken creaky kids bunk bed. Room not been cleaned before we got it. No towels or milk, coffee refill provided unless you ask. Moldy bath with slow running hot water. Rooms look incredibly tired and dated. Not impressed on the whole. Shame as snowdonia...

Stayed 1 night for birthday. Checked in by a not very customer friendly barman. Left to see to ourselves. Room was dirty old and mould in bathroom. But bed comfy. Breakfast worse. No one to attend. Lack of milk and sugar etc. Fruit mouldy. Won't stay again

We ate here after visiting Snowdon, we were hungry and really looking forward to some good pub food - I had steak pie and my husband had a burger, both meals were tasteless and poor value for money. The barman was indifferent and stood at the till to take our order which was at the other end of the bar,...

I booked 3 rooms for me and my friends to hike Snowdon. The pictures on the website looked great and we were looking forward to our stay. On arrival there is no car park, you have to carry your luggage from the free car park in the village (full when we arrived). There is no reception, you have to check...

I was so looking forward to staying in this beautiful village and have a nice stay there before climbing Snowdon. It was a total shock to see such appalling rooms and the bathrooms were so dirty, hair in the plughole, mould everywhere, toilet seats were so dirty with stained carpet in bathroom and bedrooms. We really thought this was a...

I like this pub, very interesting watching the traffic, trying to turn the corner, careful if you sit near the door outside lol. Some people say its slow, well I like the relaxed atmosphere and had no problems being served at the bar, will use again as we plan to camp at Beddgelert again

We ate here after a day of walking, we were ravenous and while the food was edible it was by no means tasty or value for money...the steak was so bad I had to resort to using ketchup just to give it flavour. Even the chips were horrible!! Would not recommend eating here if you can avoid it!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
I Have recently taken this Hotel over in the past few months as a manager to accomodate for better standards and keeping up our reputation for excellent traditional quality locally produced food at a reasonable price with a good selection on the children's menu and an outstanding reputation for real ale, lagers, ciders and a selection of fine wines. We are renound for being a children and dog friendly hotel and we are now working on our rooms re-decorating them but they all have a new comfortable bed with fresh linen and a flat screen TV with built in DVD player to make your stay as cosy as possible for a budget priced hotel. ... more   less
