Spent one night here in the suite at the top of the house. Bedroom was very nicely appointed and the bathroom was large and well decorated with a large shower and loads of hot water and good pressure. The breakfast was excellent, locally sourced produced with some choices being home-made. The location next to the river was picturesque and being...

The guest house is very well placed for all the amenities in the town. The owners are genuinely lovely people who care for their guests, which shows in the quality of everything through the house....including the delicious Welsh breakfast. I would definitely recommend and will definitely be staying here again.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful and the b&b was very clean and very comfy bed! Lots of choice for breakfast...

Bryn Afon Guesthouse has to have the prime spot in Betwsycoed. Rooms are immaculate and cosy, breakfast is gorgeous and so are the two current house dogs Boots and Billie. Easy walk into Betwsycoed and ample parking space for hire car as well. Great spot to do day trips to Snowdon, Beddgelet, Holyhead and Caernarfon. Would definitely recommend for couple...

The position of this Guest House overlooking the river is wonderful. It is a lovely old Victorian Building of local slate. The people running it are lovely..so friendly and helpful and they create a very relaxed and comfortable environment. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bryn Afon is an elegant Victorian house situated on the banks of the river Llugwy. We have spectacular views of the River Llugwy and the 500 year old stone Pont-y-Pair bridge where the salmon leap in late Autumn. With forest walks starting from our doorstep and with some of the finest restaurants in Betws y Coed and North Wales just 1 minute's walk away, this really is the perfect base for touring the Snowdonia National Park (or for staying locally to enjoy the beauty of Betws-y-Coed). We are able to assist guests with a variety of suggestions on places to visit – from gentle strolls to strenuous mountain walks, mountain bike trails, castles, slate mines, steam railways, gardens, lakes etc, to shopping or eating locally or finding the best local cake and coffee shop. Bryn Afon is easily accessible by public transport; Betws-y-Coed train station and the bus 'station' - both connecting to LLandudno Junction. The Snowdonia Sherpa Bus enables you explore the area and we also have parking in our own guest car park, plus a secure shed to lock up bikes. ... more   less
