We were attending a wedding at a nearby location and chose Ty Helyg due to proximity and the look of the rooms. Well we couldn’t have been happier, Christine and Robyn were the perfect hosts. They were on hand in case of need but also discreet. Both are friendly and ensure your stay is as it should be. Breakfast was really lovely, cooked to perfection and fresh local produce is used. Christine even offered to take us to the wedding venue if we had been unable to get a taxi, but again using her recommendation this wasn’t a problem. The room was clean and fresh and decor in keeping with the old style charm of the guest house, we had an additional dressing room, office area and bathroom for our sole use. Would I stay here again, yes Any negatives, none whatsoever Thank you Christine and Robyn for a lovely stay Dai & Tracy

Christine was a wonderful host, even before arrival. I received lots of helpful information on getting there and even the options for parking nearby. The room was lovely, with all expected amenities, and the breakfast was freshly cooked and very enjoyable. Overall, a great stay with very welcoming hosts in a very pleasant guest house, right in the heart of Brecon. I will definitely be back.

What a lovely guesthouse. Warm clean room with decent shower and a very comfortable bed. Such a friendly welcome and a beautiful breakfast. We're both vegan and even when booking very last minute (the night before) we were given a choice of breakfasts. We'll definitely look to stay here again when revisiting Brecon

Very comfortable and clean with good facilities. A warm friendly welcome. Terrific breakfast. Ty Helyg is in an excellent position, just a short walk from the Theatre, Y Gaer and the military museum. Christine was a delightful host, welcoming and efficient. Highly recommended.

Christine and John were lovely hosts and made us feel welcome straight away. Apart from the comfy and nice room breakfast options were great with high quality food. We enjoyed the chats with them and we fell in love with the new puppy at once. Would definitely stay there again.

Ty Helyg is all you want in a B&B. Christine is a wonderful, accommodating host. Brecon’s quality range of pubs and restaurants are just minutes away, yet my room was quiet at night. Breakfast is ace.

We had a lovely night in Brecon at Ty Helg - the room was big, the bed very comfortable, breakfast was delicious and we very much appreciated the warm welcome and Brecon dinner tips (we ended up at the Gurkha restaurant - fun!). Ty Helg is in a great location on the very edge of town right near the towpath- no onsite parking but you can get a voucher for the nearby theatre parking if you miss out on a street park. Thank you for having us!
