Reviewed yesterday NEW

Today, as a party of 4 adults, we had lunch at the newly refurbished Wellington Hotel in the centre of Brecon town. This was a preview event before fully opening on Monday, 5th December. The new decor is lovely and welcoming. Gone is the dark colour scheme. We ate Chicken Fajitas, Chicken Jalfrezi, Asian Glazed Steak and Red pepper Noodle... More

We had a stop over here for a night but didn't spend much time at the hotel other than for sleeping and breakfast. The hotel was undergoing an external refurb at the time but this wasn't a problem, the rooms however are overdue a refurb, it hasn't been decorated for a while, the lock was broken on the bathroom door... Went to the Wellington Hotel for a lunch with some friends I was visiting in Brecon. The hotel was in a convenient location and had plenty of sit down space inside. The food was amazingly good and service was polite and very fast. My only criticism is the decoration in the bar areas as it looked incredibly tired, dated and... More

Unfortunately we booked this hotel as it appeared to be in the centre of Brecon and at £70 a night we assumed it would be of average standard. This hotel is very run down, both dirty and unkept with cracks all over the walls, pain flaking off, awful amenities and a number of errors when we arrived. After a long... More

Stopped overnight before cycling the taff trail. Even though the hotel is undergoing a refurb we had somewhere secure to store bikes, even put one in the bar!. Room was clean. Staff could not be more helpful and were very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was just what you needed before a long ride. Good central location, perfect to get your... More

This is an old pub so if you are looking for luxury it,s not for you. Rooms were huge and spotless. We paid £120 for 2 nights and we'll worth it. We arrived very late and they were happy to get us a light meal even though the restaurant was closed. Breakfasts were lovely. We were able to park opposite... More

Very good prices, the staff were extremely friendly and the room was very clean and well presented. The only variable is the availability of parking near the hotel as it is directly in the centre of Brecon (great location too!)

Recently stayed at this hotel paid £140 for two nights which was excessive for the accommodation! We were asked to pay on arrival and given directions to the room. The carpet was dirty there was an unpleasant smell and dodgy light to room 31, the bedding and towels were clean, the window, carpets and nets were filthy! The staff were... More
