Detailed Reviews
We were visiting family in Brecon, driving from Suffolk. It is such a long drive and it was lovely to be greeted by warm, smiling Roger. He showed us to our room which was excellent - warm, spacious and clean.
We ate dinner in the pub that evening which was excellent.
The staff were equally friendly, accommodating and welcoming.
I couldn't recommend The Clarence Inn more highly.

I found The Clarence Inn by looking for B&B's closeby to a wedding located in Brecon. I liked the looks of their website so emailed them directly for a booking enquiry. I received a prompt personal response from all of my correspondence.
My partner arrived to an extremely friendly welcome (she seemed to make friends with most of the Clarence staff and even received a lift from the Barmaid to the wedding venue!).
Our room was, if this is possible, too good! We were provided a family room consisting of a double room AND a king-sized room. The following morning we were greeted with the most friendliest of welcomes and, rather than provided with a breakfast menu, were asked "What would you like?" for which they accommodated us. The owner continued to revisit us to check if there was anything further we required.
It was a shame we were only there for 1 night. We plan on returning to the Brecon area with The Clarence Inn being one of the main reasons. There will certainly be no reason to look at alternative accommodations based on the excellent room provided, the personalised customer experience and the friendly staff.

I stayed here for one night rather than go home to the North East late evening and really pleased I did . Very clean and comfortable room with en suite and probably the best cooked breakfast I have had in ages . Friendly staff , good beer and nice evening meals . Great place .

I was booked in here through work. Friendly welcome on arrival. The room was very modern, with a very comfortable bed. Large shower, TV in the room. Not much more I could ask for!
Breakfast was made fresh and was excellent.
Would definitely look to book here first for future visits to Brecon.

Exceeded expectations. Four of us stayed over from the Midlands for visiting the theatre. Lovely lady showed us our rooms and let us check in early, also saw her arriving early next day and think she cooks the magnificent breakfasts too! All staff friendly and helpful. Beautiful refurb to high standard and everywhere exceptionally clean. Loved it and would definitely return.

This was the first pub we found after a very long and hot walk along the canal. The people behind the bar were very nice, probably the owners, the other bar and waiting staff were also polite friendly and helpful. It’s a really nice pub inside, must have been refurbished recently. We sat in the garden which is well looked after and very pleasant place to be on what was a very hot day. The food was excellent and good value.

My mother in law, Emily Field, has had two take away Sunday lunches and is incredibly impressed with the portion size and variety of vegetables. Having had a knee replacement cooking is impossible at the moment and she really looks forward to her takeaway every week.
