A lovely warm welcome from the owner and we had lots of options of where to camp. We chose a lovely spot close to the river and trees. The facilities are extremely clean and checked regularly. There is a kettle, microwave, fridge and freezer in the washing up area. It was really nice to have a kettle and not have to get the camping stove out every time we wanted a cup of tea. It's the simple things that make all the difference! It was also dog-friendly. Lots of recycling bins. Great location too.

No one expects you to be able to pronounce this name so don’t feel bad if you can’t. What this place lacks in pronounceability however, it more than makes up for in hospitality and friendly, welcoming hosts.

Facilities are excellent and well maintained and if you fancy climbing a mountain, there’s Pen Y Fan about an hour’s walk away, although be warned, the round trip will tKe you north of four hours to do, assuming you have a decent level of fitness.

Booking was easy through PitchUp and when we arrived the owners were lovely and couldn’t do enough to help us find a pitch and get settled. They have fire pits on hand to loan out and bags of wood should you need it.

We were there for two nights to walk the Beacons and climb mountains. This site is perfectly located to do that, with a beautiful river adjacent to explore or take a well earned dip after a long hike.

Can’t recommend this place enough. A perfect campsite.

Room Tip: Great for a Pen Y Fan climb but you’ll need to be relatively fit.

Stayed here for 3 nights with family! Great place to camp. It is a very quiet site, great for children to run around and play, a little river runs past at the bottom, great for a little paddle and stone throwing. It's a working farm and my daughter loved that she was able to go round the barns looking at the goats and cows. Only a 5min drive to brecon town where there are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants. A few supermarkets in the town as well to grab your camping shopping. Would absolutely recommend rhydywernen for a quiet family break

I really really want to be able to give a better score. Paula and her family were super friendly and accommodating and created a lovely relaxed presence on this well laid out smallish site. Great location a few minutes drive from Brecon. Kids loved the goats and donkeys. Generous pitching. Access to fire pits. However… we stayed over August bank holiday and evidently the water system couldn’t cope. I tried a late morning shower with limited success (had to wash from a jug after initial promise meant I’d lathered up!) and assumed I’d lucked out post morning rush. But tried again at 6pm when showers empty and had the same issue. As did others in the group. Then the hand washing taps and washing up taps packed up. At that point we decided to pack up early on our last night as didn’t fancy seeing how it might all play out with toddler in tow as well. Toilet facilities also not as clean as one would hope especially given the other glowing reviews.

This is my favourite campsite EVER! For someone that loves foreign holidays way too much I would choose to stay here over any trip abroad and the sun will be a bonus as it adds to the beauty. Feeding the goats is an added bonus and now my favourite pastime. Perfect to chill and forget all your troubles. Really well maintained site with ideal facilities. The friendliest of welcomes awaits from the whole family that work tirelessly. You won't be disappointed !
