The Beacons was once a riverside farm and the 17th Century barns and cottages still remain. The front part of the building was added in the early 1700's and the house has changed little - apart from modern comforts and decor. The original spiral staircase, moulded ceilings and even the meat cellar (now a cosy bar) all add to the character and atmosphere of this lovely home.

Property's Favourite Review
We booked this B&B last minute on Saturday evening, needing to stay that night. We were booked in with such warmth and friendliness we instantly felt at home. We started in one of the outside rooms and we were not disappointed it was clean airy with a lovely bathroom and everything you needed for a nights stay. Had one of the best nights sleep ever you just seemed to melt in to the mattress. The stay was finished off by a superb breakfast cooked and served to us by Lisa, nothing was too much trouble for her. We would most definitely stay here again.

Super guest house with really helpful owners. Our room was comfortable and clean and having advised on check in that we were vegan, we were offered a delicious vegan breakfast, soya milk, dairy free spread etc. There was ample free parking behind the guest house and Brecon town centre is just a short walk away. We would definitely stay again and recommend it.

Stayed here for a total of 4 nights with a colleague whilst away for work and canāt fault it, such a lovely B&B. We checked in at around 1830 on the Sunday evening and was welcomed by Laura who showed us to our rooms. Laura was a wonderful host, very friendly and informative. We had two double rooms with en-suites, nice sized rooms, clean and comfy beds with plenty of tea/coffee/biscuits available. Hot breakfast was available from 0700 each morning which was so tasty along with a selection of cereals and juices. The B&B always smelt lovely and fresh when returning each evening and Laura was always accommodating with anything we needed, would gladly return and recommend!

Stayed at Beacons Guesthouse for two nights. Lovely old 300 year old guesthouse, room with plenty of character and the shower fabulous. Couldnāt have a cooked breakfast due to COVID but this was explained beforehand and a reduction on the cost of the room made, but we were given fruit, cereal bars, chocolate brownies, biscuits, fresh fruit juice and coffee. Francessa as a host was lovely and helpful recommended a curry place in town Zeera and it was delicious. Thanks I would definitely return.

Stayed in Brecon for family and hiking and stayed at Beacons for 4 nights and had no issues at all, literally minutes away from town.
Had a room with our own shower room and toilet, bed was comfy and the rooms were clean and tidy.
We had breakfast every morning delivered to the door due to Covid-19 and it was spot on.
There's free WiFi, in your room a TV, hairdryer, kettle with some Welsh teabags, coffee ect.. Outside in the hallway there is an ironing board with an iron for people to use.
The people that run the place were very helpful and friendly, thank you for our excellent stay.

We were pleased to find a room big enough for family of 3.
Room was nice and had modern bathroom.
Breakfast was very good - with variety of fruit and quality Welsh ingredients.
Staff were exceptionally helpful - genuinely wanted to give best possible service.
The best thing was the lady found a shower chair which meant that although the room was not specifically an āaccessible bathroomā it was perfect for my mobility needs and I was able to wash my hair!
Unfortunately the boiler cut out and we had no hot water. They are getting the boiler replaced but although they fixed it quickly (even on a Sunday) it has to reduce my score.

Beautiful room. We honestly thought we were the first people to stay in room 4 as it had a very new feeling. Spotlessly clean. Everything you wanted and more. Lovely breakfast some had a full english and I had poached eggs on toast cooked perfectly. Great friendly hosts. Highly recommended. Will definitely be back again. Thank you guys for the perfect stay xx

15 minutes before checking in I had a phone call 1st asking what time would we arriving and to let me know that they were not doing breakfasts. Now I know that they reduced the price and said that they were upgrading the room but I should have been told earlier about no breakfast so I could have booked somewhere else. I wanted breakfast when I got up not after we trudged round Brecon looking for food. They had a selection of biscuits and drinks for you to have but I didn't consider that codive safe as you don't know whose touched it. The room was ok nothing special but it was nice and big.The bathroom had not long been refitted and was good and plenty of hot water. I would not return as I felt let down as it's not what I booked plenty of options in Brecon.

Lovely room with all that we needed, but Laura and Ken who work there looked after us so very well...they made it feel special. They even included a reduction on the negotiated price, which was an added bonus. It was easily worth the original price.
