Many thanks to Rob for a beautiful, quiet retreat. The facilities were excellent with every attention to detail really well thought out. We stayed in the large bell tent and particularly enjoyed having both the facilities of the kitchenette and the campfire. The shower block and toilets were clean with plenty of hot water. We were allocated our own shower and toilet to minimise risks regarding Covid and there were plenty of sanitising stations around the site. The site was safe and secure and there was also a homely and community atmosphere about the place.

What a place, the attention to detail and craftman ship is just amazing. Beautiful surroundings and very cosy set up. Kids loved it, adults loved it, would definitely recommend.

Everything is there, no need to take cutlery or cooking equipment and beds are surprisingly really comfy.

My sister and I have been coming here for years- sometimes twice in the same holiday. We have stayed in a tipi, the cabin and the small bell tent. The attention to detail is second -to -none providing a superb glamping experience in unspoilt surroundings. The river and plunge pool is always a hit, whether it’s boiling hot, or in October as a ‘dare’. There is plenty of space to be private even at full capacity. Rob and Sara are extremely accommodating to any requests and respond quickly when contacted. The kitchen area is fully equipped, and the gypsy cabins are a superb addition. All in all, you could not ask for a better place to come with your children, or for a little time alone.

We came across Camp Cynrig glamping village whilst looking for a dark skies site. What a find! Stayed 3 nights with my 2 teenage daughters in the large Bell tent which was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. We didn't bring any bedding but Rob very kindly sorted us some pillows and sleeping bags which we were so grateful for as the nights were very cold. Our days were spent collecting eggs from the hens to cook for breakfast, dipping in and out of the river, walking to a nearby waterfall to swim and driving 10 mins to Brecon for a meal or supplies. At night we enjoyed building a campfire, swinging in the hammock, watching shooting stars, chatting and playing cards. The USB charging points meant that the girls could have a bit of phone time too. The kitchenette and dining area in our own shepherd's hut was well equipped and had a camping cooker with spare gas, a huge cool box with a few ice packs and solar powered lighting. There is a freezer on site with a drawer designated for you to rotate your ice packs. You have your own toilet, sink and shower in the shower block which is very Covid friendly. The shower was hot with good water pressure and designed to avoid water wastage. The lighting is solar powered and there is recycling for glass, tins, cardboard & plastic on the site. You park your car at the entrance and use wheelbarrows to transport your belongings the short walk to your accommodation. We have fallen in love with this place and we are looking forward to bringing the rest of our family on our return stay.

Camp Cynrig has to be one of the best situated, and best presented little camp sites there is. It's close to everything you need for a great holiday, minutes away from Brecon town centre, and situated in a pleasant little valley that gives you the peace and tranquility you'd hope for in the heart of Wales.

The site itself is fantastic, clean, quirky, well equipped, with something suitable for all ages who love to really get away from it all. Hot showers, clean toilets, ice blocks available to chill your supplies, and hammocks and foldaway chairs on site, saving the hassle of transporting lots of seating. Plenty of reasonably priced firewood for the fire pits, all appointed with grills for BBQ's.

Loved the river swimming spots, and the waterfall walks, and Medieval church, all within a stones throw of the camp, which little ones would easily manage for a bit of family adventure. The family who run it are very easy going, helpful, professional and dedicated to ensuring you have a great stay at what is truly a hidden gem. Treat yourselves, you'll not regret it.

This is our 4th year coming to Camp Cynrig and each time we fall in love with it a little more. Rob continues to surprise us by adding new and creative additions each year! The camp truly is a little bit of heaven and my girls say it’s their favourite holiday every time we go. The eco lodge and both bell tents are well equipped with everything you need and the shower block and toilets are cleaned regularly. Rob is on hand to answer questions or help out if any problems arise. This is the second year we have hired out the whole site with our friends and enjoyed camp fires, BBQ’s, epic frisbee competitions and wild swimming in the river and plunge pool! There is plenty to see and do in the local area and Brecon is just down the road for shopping and exploring. This truly is a slice of heaven - a must visit!

We stayed as a family of five in the log cabin for a week and had a truly fantastic time. The cabin itself was superb, with every camping requirement incorporated including indoor log burner, outdoor fire pit bbq, log burning oven and unique bucket shower - loved by all! The owner, Rob, has designed the whole site and is also an incredibly friendly and helpful host (if required). The location is also great, with great walks and accessible climbing at Pen y Fan on the doorstep. Add in farm shops and some decent weather and you have the perfect stress free (off grid) outdoors break. Highly recommended.

A beautiful, quiet campsite in the heart of the country side between Brecon and the mountains which we were able to access on foot or short drives to amenities and activities. The accommodation in our large bell tent was very comfy and the shepherds hut for catering or wet weather chilling was brilliant. We had such fun! Nothing was too much trouble for Rob to make our stay as easy as possible. Showers and washing up facilities were great and cooking on the camp fire made the camping experience complete. This was our second visit and would definitely recommend and hope to return again.

What a gorgeous glamping site! My boyfriend and I stayed here in the log cabin for 2 weeks and it was a wonderful holiday! The cabin was immaculate and wonderfully decorated with lots of little touches added throughout! The log fire inside the cabin was so cosy, especially in the early mornings and at night! The cabin has USB charging ports next to the beds, which was perfect for charging your phones (although you definitely do not need them!). The cabin had its only private toilet cabin which was very clean and also an outdoor shower! We also had access to the shared facilities (toilets, sinks etc) which were also immaculate! Outside the cabin we had our own cooking hob, utensils and sink! There was also a wood fired oven which we made homemade pizzas on numerous nights and they tasted amazing!.. We had our own little fire pit area as well which was perfect for bbq's and toasting marshmallows!

The location was absolutely wonderful! It was so quiet and peaceful and listening to the river running through the campsite was so relaxing! There were also so many lovely walks and activities in the surrounding area!

I highly recommend this campsite to anybody that is thinking of booking! I will definitely be back! Thank you so much Rob for your great hospitality!

We would definitely recommend staying here and if you don't you're missing out! We had a great time. Quiet, secluded and peaceful.

The cabin was fabulous with everything we needed, it is tucked away in the corner with access to the nearby plunge pool / paddling in the river and a wood burner for when it gets chilly. Great undercover area for outside cooking and dining.

Lots of quirky handmade items around the camp including loads of bird boxes and a bucket shower filled with hot water which was fun!

Fantastic location for walking running cycling, Brecon is only a 3 mile walk

Just a great place to spend a few days and the owner Rob is really nice and personable.
