Carol was away at the Royal Welsh Show when we arrived - no problem; she had arranged for her friend to see us in. This is typical of the standard of service and consideration at this superb location on a working farm. Don't go if you are going to be put off by country sounds or miss bright city lights,...

My wife and I enjoyed 3 nights at this charming B&B and Carol looked after us so well. The breakfasts were delicious and just the thing to have prior to going up Pen Y Fan! The room was spotless and well equipped.

Three days of quiet bliss on a working farm. We had the stable annex and did very little, except enjoy the countryside and excellent breakfasts. Carol does a first class job and they deserve every success. Highly recommended.

The three day stay at Blaencar was perfect for us. Not once we made to feel that we have to appreciate/admire something, but we did it anyway: the unobtrusive hospitality, the lovely room, the very good breakfast, the location, the advice and of course the lambs! We’ll be back.

We just returned from almost a week at Blaencar Farm near Sennybridge, Wales (near Brecon). This is the fifth year we have stayed at this beautiful place, and it is still as wonderful as the first time we visited. Carol is a wonderful host, thoughtful and helpful. My husband and I love staying here. It has every comfort anyone would...

Received a very warm welcome from Carol. The room we had was lovely, clean, comfortable, welcoming and warm, with a lovely view over the hills. It was very peaceful and quiet. Breakfast both mornings was great, fresh fruit, yogurt followed by a cooked breakfast. Enough to keep going all day. There were a couple of local pubs a short drive...

We stayed at Blaencar Farm for 2 nights and Carol was so lovely and welcoming. The room was spotless and very cosy. We had a delicious breakfast of fresh fruit, yoghurt, granola, orange juice and tea (just to start) and then glorious plates of smoked salmon and scrambled egg with thickly buttered toast. I was well set up for a...

A welcoming B&B on a working sheep farm. Carol is an excellent hostess and provides clean spacious en suite rooms and high quality breakfasts. The location is ideal for visiting the Brecon Beacons and we thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. The wifi network was perfectly adequate and the nearby Usk and Railway Inn offered tasty evening meals, beers and...

We stayed for 3 nights in the stable conversion and could have stayed much, much longer. The stable unit has been done up to a very high standard (photos on the website don't do it justice at all!) and is actually a whole cottage, with all the facilities you need. The farm is beautiful, tucked away in gorgeous countryside along...

We enjoyed our one-night stay at Blaencar in mid-April. The area was so beautiful and peaceful. Our room was nice and a little quirky. My 6' husband had to remember to duck when he walked through the upstairs doors. The bathroom was a little small but spotless and functional. Our room faced the barns. Although it was lambing season and...

“rooms in the house are warm, of top quality and offer a place to sit on comfy settees, Tv and large beds, the self contained unit (house) has a full kitchen, equipment, freezer, cooker etc and if you are like me and love to cook there are lots of local food providers and you have a vast range of plates, cuttlery, glasses and cooking equipment to use. ( Carols breakfasts are top quality and worth the extra cash)”
