An hotel found on the internet, never noticed by us before in the region. This is an old converted manor, beautifully situated with a fantastic view across the Vale of Glamorgan. Our event was a small funeral wake. The hotel is near the local crematorium, which was convenient. A warning is not to trust your Sat nav travelling between the... More

Lovely afternoon. The food was delicious and plentiful. We brought box of cakes home as we couldn't eat it all. The service was welcoming and excellent. The teapot was regularly replaced. We then sat on the big comfy sofas by the open log fire. It was hard to drag ourselves away

What a superb Hotel in a fantastic setting in its own ground next to a golf course ,so out in the country. The staff are predominantly local people trained to a very good standard who can't do enough for you. We stayed for 4 nights and the staff subtly note your requirements and are prepared for the order you like... More

A beautiful building, grounds and settings and the food is also excellent! Main slight downsides to me were that the gym etc closes at 5:30 and that my room only had a shower and not a bath, somehow a Country House hotel without a bath isn’t quite the same. However I am sure if I had asked they would have... More

We stayed over for a Saturday evening as we had 50th party in the area. Beautiful settings and grounds and we had coach house room with really great views. The staff were very attentive and kind. Sadly that is where the good points end. The whole hotel is very tired and in need of a major overhaul. The rooms are... More

We took our two teenage girls for halloween afternoon tea which was fantastic. My husband changed his mind and had the gentlemans afternoon tea which was a savoury selection of cooked mini foods, it looked amazing. Our Halloween themed cakes were lovely, beautifully decorated and our coffin shaped sandwiches were cute. Staff were all very helpful, the hotel is beautiful.... More

Visited the hotel as a last minute birthday treat , firstly the location (though a little difficult to find if you do not have a sat nav ) is just gorgeous, and the fact that the trees were changing colour due to the time of the year only enhanced the whole experience. The hotel itself is a grand Victorian building and... Visited today, excellent lunch for two. Will definitely revisit soon. We dine out regularly and this establishment is within our top three eateries within the Bridgend area. It's a few quid dearer than most i.e. approximately £14 for 2 courses but freshly cooked by a chef and not a microwaved packet in sight. Yum yum.
