Stayed there before a few times, and we were always happy, but it's even better now, the rooms are excellent after the latest refurb. We can't fault it! Cheap, quality accommodation, great friendly staff.

The hotel was surprisingly quiet given the location, but it was a Monday night stay. The public areas are tatty and suffers from 'sticky carpet syndrome'. My partner tried to telephone me and was told that the call had been answered by a new temp who could not do anything, eg did not know how to transfer the call. The...

I didnt have great expectations but I was pleasantly surprised. The room was above average in terms of decor, taste and size (room 1). The location was perfect for the town and nightlife (which was actually quite good bearing in mind we were there on a Sun/Mon night. Food in the pub downstairs was great and good value. We booked...

I agree that the online booking is terrible. The bar service is renowned locally for how slow and surly it is. Be warned, also, that the bar opens for non-residents at 09:30hrs or 10:00hrs on Sundays and quickly fills with undesirables who left only a few hours earlier!
