Having stayed here on a number or previous occasions I had high hopes that the quality and service I would receive would once again be repeated....I was not disappointed. Keith and normal (owners/ operators) have continued to deliver the highest of standards for their guests. Room was immaculate, as was the bathroom. There are two big selling into of this... More

Reasonably priced considering it was rugby and other hotels/b and bs put prices up. Only thing would say was expected a towel to be provided ended up having to go to buy one not really used to b and b where it not ensuite so that might be why. Also the design or the lock on the single rooms maybe... More

The place is a bit quirky, even old-fashioned; our double bed was small but comfortable while both room and bathroom had been recently refurbished. The cooked breakfasts were marvellous and really set one up for the day, especially the... More

We stayed at the courtfield hotel for 3 nights. We were made very welcome. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable with a nice spacious bathroom. The breakfast was very nice and plenty of it. Norman and Keith are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Keith gave us some very good recommendations on local places to eat... More

Fabulous location, on a tree lined residential street full of wonderful Victorian houses and B&Bs. Plenty of easy on-street parking. And very close to the centre of Cardiff and the University, and near to Bute Park and the river. The hosts Keith and Norman were charming throughout, from initial phone booking, to greeting us on arrival and giving great tourist... More

An absolutely lovely Victorian town house hotel with the best hosts one can ever imagine. They are really helpful (nothing is too much effort) and know a lot about the area. Honestly, if you want to know where to eat or where to go: ask Keith! Also, if you are into history don't hesitate to ask him about the wonderful... More

Roger stayed for 4 nights, very reasonably at this Victorian hotel in respect of a visit to watch Sussex play Glamorgan at the Swalec. Since I last stayed there 6 years ago and twice before then, there have been some excellent improvements especially to the breakfast room and bedrooms. Keith and Norman are excellent hosts. Keith's breakfasts were excellent and... More

We have visited Cardiff quite often in the last 10 years and have usually stayed at one of the many guest houses in Cathedral Road, so have sampled a fair number; however, we overlooked the Courtfield until it was recommended by a relative. Taking in to consideration price, comfort, cleanliness, breakfast and the great friendliness of the owners we feel... More
