The rooms were the largest, nicest that I have seen in Belfast and the staff was attentive and helpful. The staff provided tech support at our meeting and the hotel staff directed us to places of interest.

Celebrated my anniversary with some afternoon tea at the merchant. Have heard numerous great reports so wanted to try it myself. The staff were so attentive and great it made my afternoon all the more special. The building itself was breathtaking and it is deff a place to dine and celebrate. Thank you again for a lovely visit and the...

I haven't stayed at any other hotels in Belfast but I never would either after staying here! There are only 62 rooms so the attention to detail is there. They have top notch service and everything else. It is also close walking distance to many awesome restaurants. This hotel is worth every penny. The rooms are decorated better than any...

Stayed 1 Saturday night and received exactly what we expected from this 5 star hotel....pure luxury and excellent service from all staff. It started with the reception desk upon arrival, Becky was just so polite and yet professionally relaxed. We felt at home from the first minute. Our room was just perfect and every little touch is thought of....water by...

The Merchant is one of my favorite hotels in the world. From the moment you arrive you are treated with great service. The rooms are nice and varied - I have stayed in many rooms there are none are the same which is what makes the merchant special. The residents bar is a great place to have a nice drink...

Beautifully furnished comfortable room furnished with tasteful antiques, enormous bathroom radiant heated floor and heated towel rack. Staff very friendly and helpful. Located in downtown historic district near restaurants and entertainment. Lively bar and gorgeous ornate dining room freshly prepared three course breakfast. A real bargain at the price.

Really enjoyed my stay in the Merchant hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself was definitely a 5* experience with all the added wee extras. We treated ourselves to afternoon tea and would definitely recommend this as was a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Really close to the city centre and a bit of retail...

Good friends bought me a Merchant Gift Card for my Big Birthday which was very kind of them. My wife and I were both off work today so I booked a table for 2 in the Great Hall restaurant. The Menu was interesting with a good range of choices. We opted for Parfait of Duck & Foie Gras and Chicken...

Enjoyed a great night here, stayed in the Brian Friel Suite which was amazing. Relaxing by the fire in our room with a bottle of bubbles was a highlight, as were the personal touches for our turn down service. Breakfast was delicious and the rooftop hot tub was great. Thanks to all the staff.
