Our daughter planned our week traveling in Northern Ireland. After flying into Dublin she drove us through the Mourne mountains to Enniskeen Country House Hotel. We'd driven through a most beautiful part of N IRELAND and was amazed to find this was where we were spending the night. I felt so overwhelmed by everything from our room, the food, and...

We stayed in this lovely hotel for a weekend, Saturday to Monday. It was very relaxing, lovely atmosphere, attentive staff and excellent food. The surroundings were beautiful, our room looked out to the mountains, which was very nice, especially when the clouds lifted. That was the only problem we had....the weather, but the lovely hotel made up for that. The...

We stayed here on a lovely sunny bank holiday weekend and booked the room with the balcony which looks out over the Mournes. Would highly recommend this room. The staff were excellent and couldn't be more helpful, we've returned since then to have some afternoon tea on their terrace. The hotel is nicely situated about 10 mins walk from Newcastle,...

My husband and I stayed at the enniskeen for our wedding weekend and loved it. My bridesmaids and I stayed the night before the wedding too and the staff were so accommodating on the morning of the wedding. The room we stayed in had stunning views, we had breakfast every morning and Sunday lunch before we left - food is...

Just returned home from a pleasant stay at the Enniskeen Hotel, formally the country home of R J Murray the tobacco magnate whop originally came from Virginia. He built his country residence in a fabulous place on the outskirts of Newcastle in the late 1890s later occupied by Major Panter and before being bought by the family who have been...

In August, 2016, 19 golfers took over all the beds at Enniskeen Country House. Overall our experience was very good. Breakfasts are great as was the group dinner that we started our trip with. Considering the relatively small size, the food is outstanding. Especially liked that there are several sitting areas to relax and visit. The bar is an added...

A lunch for 48 older members of our group was organised at the Enniskeen Country House Hotel. We received a lovely welcome from Eileen as she showed us the hotel's facilities and then led us into the dinning room with its stunning views of the gardens and Mourne Mountains. The staff were excellent, as was the food which was also...

Look. This is a lovely house from the outside and some spectacular views of the mourne mountains. But I was a little bit let down with the place on my visit a couple of days ago. The staff are tremendous and well trained. I ordered soup for starter and I really enjoyed it. While I was waiting for the main,...

Stayed one night to attend an evening wedding function in Newcastle. Booked online and opted for an executive room which promised panoramic views. The views didn't disappoint, however the room was not what I would consider executive standard, considering the size and very traditional furnishings. The bed was very comfortable and both slept extremely well. Shower was very disappointing and...

I was looking forward to visiting this hotel with my husband for one night while our children were away. According to the hotel website their Oak Restaurant is "one of the finest in County Down" and their Deluxe double room which we booked had "warm furnishings and luxurious textiles". I certainly didn't expect a 5 star hotel but what we...
