Stayed here for two nights in August 2011 and thought it was amazing. Lovely spacious room and great bathroom. Very updated. Owners Colm and his wife were so helpful and accommodating. The perfect hosts! It is centrally located for touring the area with many good restaurants, pubs and shops within walking distance. Had a fantastic stay!

We stayed in early Jan 2013 while in NI to visit relatives. While we wern't able to lodge with family, we found the next best thing at Amble. The overall experience is summed up in the phrase "home from home". We enjoyed a 3 night stay in a spotless and very comfortable room. The highlights were the wonderful breakfasts and...

Hi Anne; thank you so much for taking the time to review our business. We are delighted you enjoyed your family break in our Glen room, next time you have to see the spectacular views from the top of Slieve Donard, (it's only 850m high). Our business is built on helpful friendly service and we are so lucky to meet...

It was really nice to be treated like a friend rather than ‘just a guest’ as most hotels and B&Bs do. Colm took the time and trouble to take me out each morning on the hunt for good photographs - one of which I think is posted on his site. They readily provided the sorts of breakfasts I love, including...

Hi David, Thank you for writing a great review. It is good to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and had an enjoyable time in Newcastle, apart from the cold and damp mornings, you still got some fantastic pictures of the sunrise over the County Down coast. We loved sharing our home with you and look forward to...

We had a 4 night stay early Oct 2012 whilst catching up with family and friends. The Shimna room comfortably held 2 adults, 1 child in a single bed and junior in 'baby-jail' otherwise known as a travel cot. Our hosts were delightful and could not have been more welcoming. We will be staying here again especially if C can...

Colm and Francis understood the art of the proper distance and proximity. Colm did much to say about walking and history of the region. Furthermore, the breakfast was very good, as was the rest of my stay. Newcaste has offered me much for my short hiking. When I go back to Newcastle, then again in the Amble.
