Very disappointing - Expected better ! Tea & coffee served - no milk. After 15 minute wait - no sandwiches etc Had to speak to member of staff, and after another 15 minutes the food was served, along with fresh coffee, as original was cold. Food was ok, nothing special, but bread on the sandwiches was hard round the edges...

We had a fantastic wedding for my son and his new at the hotel with excellent service provided by the hotel staff throughout and in the beautiful country style settings and grounds. The meal was perfectly cooked and praised by everyone in attendance and due to the staffs organisation and support the whole day and evening went very smoothly. The...

Lovely spacious comfortable rooms for a family wedding stay. Long corridors and slightly confusing lifts. Warm welcome by staff on arrival. Staff were always helpful. Stayed 2 nights. Ate in the restaurant on first night. Would describe the food as 'Fancy and delicious'. Breakfast exactly what you would want from a hotel. Although breakfast room was very warm. Having stayed...

Beautiful setting, attentive staff but food selection and quality disappointing. Had to wait half an hour for food because we requested no cream with scones or cakes. Sandwiches were dry and did not appear freshly made for us. Scones nice and warm, but no butter only jam. There was lemon posset topped with cream neither of us could eat and...

Had an excellent weekend here. ALL staff were courteous, polite and very welcoming. The food did not disappoint and there was plenty of it. The room was spacious, comfortable, clean and very well equipped and had views of the river. We stayed in 436 which was at the end of the corridor which meant it was very quiet. Got this...

On the face of our this is a magnificent place. The approach and grounds, the welcoming smell of an open fire in reception, lovely bar, spectacular staircase. All befits a 4 star hotel. But I booked a classic room as looked nice on the pictures but was rather disappointed. Small, tired, dated bathroom. It was clean and cosy enough and...

My wife and I stayed here on our wedding anniversary and we had a wonderful time. The bedroom was terrific, the restaurant was fabulous, the food was exceptionally good and the service was amazing. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. This a really lovely hotel that has old world charm but is bang up to date. We will...

Stayed at Norwood Hotel on Valentines Day as had Honeymoon there 40 years ago. Mixture of historic older part with newer wings attached. All to high level of decoration. Room was large with view overlooking River Dee but limited view due to trees. Food was excellent with many different flavours on option. Got this deal through Itison and well worth...

We were lucky enough to be given a wonderful engagement present of vouchers for a Macdonald stay of our choice. With this being a special occasion we booked the feature suite. Driving into the hotel is stunning and looks gorgeous lit up at night. The decor inside is traditional/vintage and again we were taken aback at how beautiful the place...

Me and my future wife visited hotel in September 2016, fall in love with this place, visited ever since on several times and In January 2017 got married here. Simple as that. The place has a rich history and current owner keeps it all in old facelift. Once you enter hall, library or one of few bars/restaurants the history breaths...
