As a business traveller my company had trouble finding accommodation in Aberdeen and then this gem came up. Had a very warm welcome, lovely room and advice on where to park to avoid the ridiculous parking costs. I wish this had been found a week earlier as it was fantastic. Could not make breakfast due to being at work early....

My partner and I stayed at Aldersyde whilst he was on a training course at the Aberdeen Drilling School. Firstly, the location is fantastic .... 5 mins from the drilling school and a few minutes walk takes you into Aberdeen town centre. Directly over the road you have the "Ferry Hill Hotel " good food at a reasonable price. There...

The guest house had a warm and welcoming feel with a large, spotlessly clean and comfortable family room. I was impressed with the fast response to my initial enquiry and the hosts were attentive and accommodating. Breakfast is continental, with an excellent selection including hot porridge. Location is about 7 minutes walk from city centre and location is quiet Excellent...

The Aldersyde Guesthouse certainly exceeded my expectations. It was very clean and the bead comfortable. It is a easy walk to downtown. It is also right across the street from the Ferry Hill Hotel so you can get a meal or visit the pub without having to go back down town. John, the host was very accomodating and available if...

We stayed here for a night in August. The B & B is very good and clean and the room we stayed was huge and the bed was very comfortable. The guest house is situated in a quite residential area, not exactly in the centre, but in a 5-10 mins walk from main street (Union street). John, the host is...

Very large room - but not en suite. However a dedicated shower room was provided down the corridor. A 42inch TV in the bedroom which seemed enormous compared to the typical 15inch screens in many other places. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The furniture was low cost modern items. Good breakfast. Talkative host!

Situated on a nice quite residential street about 5 min walk from Union street with its shops, pubs etc and 10 min walk from bus and train station. Friendly host (ask him to make you porridge in the morning!), comfortable rooms. Also be assured that you'd get all the useful tips for Aberdeen and the surroundings. Don't forget to visit...

We were looking for a good value-for-money accommodation in Aberdeen - and the Aldersyde Guest House topped all of our expectations. His guest house is clean, neat, with good beds, well working facilities and in good walking distance to the town centre but very quite at night, though. Although the breakfast is not fully cooked, it’s plenty and of great...

Stayed here for an overnight just last week. Having never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and being two women on their own we were a bit apprehensive. But we needn't had been, the place was spotless, and well laid out, John the owner is lovely and made us feel very welcome and was a great source for finding...
