Was there on a business trip for the Senior Open and was given an apartment at The Maltings. Stunning apartment with beautiful views to the Golf Course and beyond to the sea. The Good Bits: Staff very pleasant and helpful, easy check in (issued with ipad for heating, music and Netflix), Lovely fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers, Washer/Dryer came in... More

Visited after day at the Golf and after hearing good things about food. Not disappointed. Friendly helpful service, good menu and food was really tasty an served up quickly. Good value for money. Nice busy atmosphere. Will return!

Overnight midweek stay and the exterior certainly does not reflect the quality and attention to detail inside. Small car park but some street parking available. Pub with welcoming staff and locals serving great food at reasonable prices, although there are several take-aways nearby. Great beers, sports TV, games room with pool table and darts, courtyard area and spacious plush bedrooms,... More

Up at Carnoustie on a golfing trip and popped in to the 19th Hole to eat and drink on a couple of nights. Have been before and glad to find everything was still as good, we arrived in time for the quiz where barmaid Steph(anie) made sure it was good fun, she has a great sense of humour and works... Just got back from three nights staying at 19th Hole Hotel, 8 of us on a golf trip, one stayed with friends so I got a room to myself. The room was in the newly built/refurbished section and I have to say that it surpassed my expectations. First up, very clean, modern and functional also bright an airy. The king... More

My Carnoustie based family use the 19th Hole regularly for larger family gatherings. It is conveniently located close to the Carnoustie Championship Golf Course but it is located off the main thoroughfare of Carnoustie and its location has no redeeming values. The dining room is just an extended area of the bar so it can get quite noisy (and children... More

Visited this week. Bog standard food nothing special. The atmosphere was not great. Had eaten here before and felt that the standards had dropped. Perhaps time to revamp the menu. Will not hurry back.

If you here to play golf, linger. This is a lovely area and the tourist crowds are less than in St Andrews. After golf, walk (you must walk) up to the 19th Hole for beers and pub food. Get out of the hotel and enjoy an ale pie or some local fish. Soak it in.

Staying in another hotel but wanted somewhere to have a drink in the evening that made us feel we were in Scotland. This place hits the nail on the head. Good beer and a definite golf feel. The staff were warm and engaging and seemed to have time for the customers. Nice food too.

Thank Norman J
