We were disappointed with the standard of the room although clean and tidy the room was a little tired looking, little things like missing handles on the wardrobe doors and drawers stiff to operate. We were expecting so much more from what is billed as one of the top hotels in Tayside, but on the positive side staff were excellent...

We enjoyed a lovely dinner last week with some Chinese friends. Great service and lovely food thanks to the chefs and staff at the Carnoustie Golf Hotel. The scallops and black pudding starter was perfect and they lamb dish nice and tender. Our guests were really impressed. Well done!

Booked a 2 nights stay and secured a fabulous large room on 3rd floor overlooking first tee of Carnoustie Championship course so plenty of entertainment watching groups tee off - also had clear view of the 18th green . Excellent pool for pre-breakfast swim - a warm pool that you could walk into with no shock value . Breakfast was...

Stayed here because of the golf. Hotel is in good shape; rooms small, bathrooms beautiful. We paid to "upgrade" to a golf view (asking rate was 30 pounds, we negotiated 10). View was good but the windows are very dirty so you really can't enjoy the view.

Let me start my review by saying how wonderful Louise was; the perfect host. Holly on reception was excellent too. Th hotel room was recently refurbished and over looked the 1st tee. Comfortable. The downside was was it was above the bar area and it was noisy. Breakfast was good but the chef needs to cook the bacon better; translucent...

Stayed here for 3 nights in a junior suite for a or daughters wedding. From check in to check out everything was perfect. The food at the wedding was excellent; breakfasts were excellent. All staff members were efficient and attentive at all times.

Thank you for your review on your recent visit to Carnoustie. We were delighted to be a part of your daughters day and glad that you enjoyed your 3 nights with us! The suites certainly are wonderful looking over the 1st and 18th tee and green, and the staff will be delighted to read your positive comments. Once again thanks...

We stayed one night on bed and breakfast basis and upgraded to the superior golf view room as it was my birthday. The hotel was very nice and all staff were efficient and polite. The room was lovely and very comfortable but the windows were absolutely filthy which was very disappointing. The swimming pool is not as nice as pictures...

We had a very good sleep and the beds and pillows and general quality was great! Don't hesitate to stay! The food at their restaurant is delicious! Although the breakfast could be just a little bit better, was missing my plain natural yoghurt! But that being said don't hesitate to stay here!

We stayed at the Carnoustie hotel for one night during the Easter Break. I thought that the hotel was good value for money (our room rate was very reasonable) but it isn't the most amazing hotel in the world. In particular, the pool area is not as nice as it looks on the pictures. The staff were really friendly, and...

Stayed on the 2nd floor, nice room but clearly an unrefurbised one with torn carpets and worn furniture. But rest of hotel is nice. Breakfast was great, nicd selection, loved the waffles with bacon and maple syrup. Pool nice too. Got a good price through Expedia so would recommend.
