• The Front of house staff greeted us in a most welcoming cordial manner, over the three day stay they carried out their duties in a pleasant, most courteous manner, answering all queries accordingly and always with a smile. • The room allocated was well-appointed, recently modernised and was most comfortable. • The breakfast choices were varied tasty and of ample...

The friendly helpful staff make this hotel - good food, comfortable rooms, good location. We were a family group & the staff could not have been more helpful. Room for elderly relatives was excellent, ground floor, spacious, everything they needed was provided.

Visited as overnight stopover with a group on a tour of the Scottish coast. The hotel has a characterful old part containing the bar, dining room, lounge etc plus some bedrooms and a more modern bedroom wing. All spotless and our room in the bedroom wing was very good, with a large, comfortable bed and good en-suite shower room. The...

My wife and I stayed at this hotel in September 2016 for a weekend with some friends, and what a pleasant experience! Free ample parking in the hotel's own car park. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Our rooms were spacious, spotless, and well appointed. The food was possibly the best food I have ever been served in...

Pleasant hotel with friendly staff. Very nice breakfast. Didn't have an evening meal but menu looked good. Checked out early and was given option of takeaway continental breakfast if required. Original booking was for one night and, as my room was booked for the second night I needed to extend, I was given an upgrade room for same price.

I was there for a Petrofac training and it was a great base - room was super big, staff helpful, dinner nice, and good coffee - can walk to town center or beach easily ... Not tons of options in town (although more guest houses than Trip Advisor would indicate) and I was glad to have stayed there.

Great friendly place to stay for a night. We stayed in the newer rooms which are a very good size and well decorated. Shower wasn't very good but other than that we had no issues. Breakfast was very nice, good selection of local produce and big portions. Will certainly stay again.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel as a base for a friends wedding we were attending. We were very impressed with the room (the Montrosian) which was much fancier than anything we were expecting! The hotel breakfast was superb, and had gluten free toast which was a plus for me! We visited the bar as well which was...

Another visit back to Montrose and another exceptionally warm welcome from everyone at this beautiful hotel. Room 22 is by far the most comfortable and spacious suite to stay in. The Chef will take your taste buds on a wee pleasant journey, and if that's not enough..... Trust me, it will be #VisitAngus #VisitScotland
