Pleasant hotel with friendly staff. Very nice breakfast. Didn't have an evening meal but menu looked good. Checked out early and was given option of takeaway continental breakfast if required. Original booking was for one night and, as my room was booked for the second night I needed to extend, I was given an upgrade room for same price.

I was there for a Petrofac training and it was a great base - room was super big, staff helpful, dinner nice, and good coffee - can walk to town center or beach easily ... Not tons of options in town (although more guest houses than Trip Advisor would indicate) and I was glad to have stayed there.

Great friendly place to stay for a night. We stayed in the newer rooms which are a very good size and well decorated. Shower wasn't very good but other than that we had no issues. Breakfast was very nice, good selection of local produce and big portions. Will certainly stay again.

My partner and I stayed at this hotel as a base for a friends wedding we were attending. We were very impressed with the room (the Montrosian) which was much fancier than anything we were expecting! The hotel breakfast was superb, and had gluten free toast which was a plus for me! We visited the bar as well which was... More

Another visit back to Montrose and another exceptionally warm welcome from everyone at this beautiful hotel. Room 22 is by far the most comfortable and spacious suite to stay in. The Chef will take your taste buds on a wee pleasant journey, and if that's not enough..... Trust me, it will be #VisitAngus #VisitScotland

Spent a few days here on a DBB package. The hotel has a pleasant location. The staff were all pleasant and helpful from the moment we arrived. We had a lovely room which was bright and airy. The evening meals were very good and bar prices very reasonable. This is a good base to explore the local area. We were... More

I am currently writing this review at 1 am because I cannot sleep from the noise coming from the disco in the function suite. It is so loud that you would think you are right there in the midst of the party. You can hear every word in every song as well as the cheering, singing and clapping from the... More

Came here before a concert for the carvery. Really good food. We had gammon, beef or lamb, lots of veg and sauces to pick from. Chef gives you as much as you want. And really cheap! Staff were helpful. Clean place. Good selection of food and will be back very soon!
